Who would you recommend?

Will start first of all by saying I've been lurking for few months now finally made a TYM account, so forgive me if this is in the wrong place or what not and hello to you all.

I have mained Superman since day 1, and climbed up the EU leaderboards with him. However, I am looking for a different character to use in addition to Superman as I have got to the point where I'd just prefer a change and feel I cannot improve my Superman.

I've played about in practice with most of the characters, but not looked at any of them in depth, and not sure who to pick up and who I will enjoy the most and work best with.

I am looking for someone who is both original, and effective at the same time.

Here is where you guys come in.

Could any of you recommend a character I can stick with the same way I did with Supes. I am open to all suggestions bar Aquaman and Batman.

flash is pretty easy from what I have seen.

Nightwing is fun to use. His stance change ability is very different from most of the casts, and he has a lot of tools at his disposal. His air control sucks, and his anti-airs aren't great (although perhaps this has changed with the D2 buff today). Either way, he plays very different from Superman.

Bane is also a lot of fun, balancing meter and venom gauge. Every battle seems like an uphill one, but I think the character has a lot of unrealized (at least by me) potential. If you don't like working to get in (dash-block-dash), he might not be the right character for you, however.

I'm not sure if I'm honest, seems to vary

I played Jin throughout Tekken if that helps.

If you want a nice powerful character, I'd recommend Grundy. Sure he can be completely outzoned, but he has great Armor on his BF3 that goes through interactables and can be cancelled so he isn't left open afterwards.

For speed, I'd recommend Nightwing, Flash or Catwoman. They can do some pretty good and strong combos, some easily can be 30-40%.

However, if you like technical characters, maybe Batgirl or Sinestro. I don't play them much, but they do really good when played right.

Mind you, my main characters right now are Supes and Bats (mainly as I can't seem to beat people online with any other characters yet), so my input is rather limited, though I do squeeze in matches as Grundy when I can.

Kinda difficult, I mean you picked the right 1st character. I guess you could try flash; good high low combo starters, safe strings, very good dash and fine damage output.

well if you like tekken u probaly like in your face combat
id go with bane lobo shazam scorpian grundy flash doomsday maybe even batgirl
its a lot but u aint give me a lot to work with

Go with Flash, he got a nice buff and hes got great damage.

A recurring suggestion seems to be flash/nightwing. I tried a bit of flash but haven't warmed to him so much, nightwing I need to look at more in depth.

What would you say about Killer Frost and Sinestro? would they be suited for someone like myself?

Killer frost probably, Sinestro is totally different.

Then again totally different is what I'm after.

I shall go with Nightwing for now and Sinestro should I find Nightwing not really my thing.

Well just as a mentality issue you can ALWAYS improve your superman.

Regardless the best characters I can recommend is Green Arrow and Raven, both are rarely used characters but also very good. You will always feel like there is more to learn with those characters guaranteed. They both have amazing tools and are very unique.

Not that I use him as my main obviously by my image but I was really entertained by what I saw from black adam in Evo, he was able to go toe to toe with superman a lot of the time, and I've enjoyed using him, however I prefer the joker, the hitstun and hitboxes from his jump in attacks are great, I love all the possible juggle set ups, but with the joker it's all about reading your opponent luring them into traps and then bouncing them around with well timed combos till they can't get up, he's a lot of fun and I have seen some awesome jokers in tournaments proving that he is not the worst character in the game, simply one of the hardest to master.

WW is an in your face frame trap mix up type of character, with great footsies. no real projectiles tho. not alot of weaknesses has alot of the same cross over set ups as superman so that part of your game will be right at home.
umm i personally have trouble with zoning with her, but ive seen real good wonder womans get around it easily. and wouldnt say she has any entirely bad match ups, but i have trouble green arrow lol

I would suggest finding a low or mid tier character. If you only played Superman, you'll find there are alot of parts in the game you haven't experienced, because a character with as many strengths as Superman doesn't have to deal with as many tricky match ups. You might find it will even improve your Superman to learn a character that is his polar opposite.

The characters I would suggest: Scorpion, Lex, and the Joker. They all focus heavily on setups and mind games. They have nothing similar to the tools Supes has, and all their tools are completely unique to what Supes has.
