This week at Wednesday Night fights was an EGP/RDK takeover, as the 2 groups of former teamates controlled the bracket completely from start to finish. With RDK Awesomo, EGP Krayzie, RDK|GodSpeed and EGP PBoard 88 all in winners semis on a collision course, there were a lot of good matches towards the end of the bracket between players who know each other well.
Awesomo brought out a strong-looking Flash this week, knocking P Gorath into losers earlier in the tournament. In Winners Finals he met multiple-time champion RDK Goodspeed. After a good start by Awesomo, Goodspeed adjusted and went aheead to take the set 2-0. In Losers Finals, Awesomo played PBoard, who had to defeat Rip, Aris, RDK|Tyrant, and Krayzie to make his way into the Top 3. PBoard's Superman eventually eliminated Awesomo in a set of close matches, setting up a Grand Final between PBoard and Godspeed.
Godspeed and PBoard were fairly evenly matched all the way through their matches, but in each game Godspeed used Black Adam's trait to control the endgame and help the secure the win. This is Godspeed's 3rd win at WNF, giving him the most wins of any of the players so far. It also marks the 5th win for Team Rush-Down Kings.
With Black Adam reigning supreme on both coasts, Injustice's Wednesday action was once again -- you guessed it -- a world of dictators. Rico Suave, Godspeed, and Smarrgasm are all looking strong, and are just over a week away from meeting each other at Florida's CEO major.
