Rico Suave Wins Injustice at Next Level Battle Circuit #24

For the forth week in a row (an Injustice record) Rico Suave has taken Injustice: Gods Among Us at New York's Next Level Battle Circuit. Defeating CD Jr., EMP DragonGod and now Chris G in Grand Finals, Rico has closed out a month's worth of action and is holding the NLBC's top spot in a virtual headlock. This week, veteran MK and Injustice player EMP/OBS/VSM Maxter made his way down to the arcade and fought his way through the bracket using Catwoman, Doomsday, and Aquaman.

In losers semi-finals, Maxter was able to overwhelm EMP DragonGod with some relentless Doomsday pressure to advance. Winners Finals was a good set between Chris G and Rico, with Chis G sticking to Green Arrow and Rico playing Aquaman for the first match to give Chris some time to warm up. Chris' Arrow looked sharp however, and even after Rico switched back to Black Adam Chris continued his momentum -- at one point coming back from the brink of death with no visible health to take 60% of Rico's life bar for the win.


This left Rico and Maxter in Losers Finals. After Rico breeezed through the first match against Maxter's Doomsday, Maxter switched to Aquaman. Although Maxter started off strong, Rico adjusted fairly quickly and rolled ahead to take the set 3-0. Back in Grand Finals, Chris G and Rico played an exciting series, but Rico looked fairly unstoppable and ended up taking the reset and the final set to win the tournament.

With about 5500 viewers this week, NLBC has been staying strong and continues to be a big draw for Injustice, Marvel and SF:AE. Rico has been looking very dominant and comfortable in a number of matchups. Will someone finally be able to unseat him? Tune in next Wednesday to find out.

MITDJT I can't wait to see what happens.. Looking at the lineup it looks like a great tournament all around -- and for other games well.

But will Smurrgasm make an appearance?

Who cares. People make it seem like MK9 players always beat other communities, but Rico has beat CD Jr four weeks in a row.

The reason there is more MKC people in top whatevers is because more MK people play the game.

who cares? wow i'm just going to shake my head lmao. Wouldn't matter if more Capcom guys played, we are still going to be successful no matter what. If you actually put time into a fg, you can be good at it, simple as that. There is no advantage bcuz someone plays x game so they would have advantage at another game. That is purely illogical.

Actually It's more a mixture of Tekken, Capcom, and MK who are taking top spots. One is not taking it over another. Stop labeling and just see to it as what it is : An Injustice Community (that doesn't sound right at all.....)

And also has nothing to do with what I said. What I said was that anyone from ANY community can and will be successful at this game with enough time/effort put in.

did I say they COULDN'T? noooooooo. Don't matter tho. MKC going to be good at it now, and they going to stay good at it. Simple as that, nothing else needs to be said about that situation.

I have a feeling you have no idea what I am trying to say.

This is no longer the MKC, it is the Injustice community. Anyone from any community(including MKC) can pick this game up and become part of the injustice community.

smh, I know EXACTLY what you are saying. I am saying the ppl who were apart of the MK9 community (like bit, REO, pig, and etc.) are going to stay good at this game no matter who plays. Comprehend before replying sir.

That is true. You can also say about people who play capcom, or tekken top players. it's just top players in general. I can respect that you want to rep your set though. (I'm coming from them anime games...)

You do realize that we are both saying the exact same thing right? You ask me to comprehend yet you dont even get that I am agreeing with you.

Reo, bit, pig and other MKC members will thrive as well as top players from other communities.

Zoidberg747, smh nvm. Simple as this, you made a post about "oh rico didn't play mk and he is doing good at IGAU". So I reply, ppl who played mk still taking up most of the top 8/16 spots. End of the day, we both know any community can do good, lets just leave it at that.

Well duh..
and NBA player is gonna beat any NFL player in basketball regardless of how much the NFL player puts effort into it...Vice Versa..
Im more of a Capcom/ Marvel player and I could care less.
I root for whoever brings Harley or any of my faves into the tops :)
We need more Harleys and Nightwings.
