In their initial announcement at E3, the developers of the new Killer Instinct, Double Helix Games, shared that they were eager to hear back from the community about what fans wanted to see in the game. In addition to answering inquiries and taking suggestions via Twitter, DHG is making good on their promise by starting a Community Q&A focused on collecting community feedback.

As employee Filthierich explains in his initial post, they'll be asking new questions each week and collecting detailed answers and suggestions from the community on the Double Helix forums. The first question, asked this week, was as follows:

What character would you like to see return for Killer Instinct, and why?

Fithierich clarified further:
"Feel free to dive into the details. Some of the things I personally would love to hear more about are the moves and looks of the character. For example, if you liked how Jago’s moveset was for KI(1), or how his Heavy lunge kick went through fireballs – don’t hesitate to share those details."
Have opinons on what will make KI an awesome game? Be sure to stay tuned to the Q&A and let the team hear your feedback.

good stuff .... went there, registered, and wrote some ideias ....

if those assholes listen up the fans = win .... they are brainy smart ones :D
if not, they decide to ignore a lot of good ideas already posted there = epic fail for KI3 ..... sad but true

Anybody know why Rare isn't developing this? I don't get it...
Microsoft bought Rare, the original developers/founders left after a few years, and they produced a few games with questionable sales before MS decided to restructure the company to focus on Kinect.

It's not the same Rare -- so it's pretty much the same as anyone else taking the reigns.

Needs to be made by rare and not the same people who created that travesty that is Silent Hill: Homecoming. Employing Double Helix to make anything involving video games is like asking a child molester to teach pre-school. BAD IDEA!

I'll be thinking about you naysayers when Double Helix makes KI a god among fighting games.

Give them a chance to make a fighting game - for fuck sake.
I'll be THRILLED if it comes out good. I'll be nothing more than happy and say well done Double Helix. But you know that we have absolutely no reason right now to not be nay-sayers. They have had a "chance" to make:
Survival Horror
Sci Fi Action
Naval Battle Strategy
Beat'em Up
and First Person Shooter

and they've failed at all of them.
Especially since their last few games were Battleship, Green Lantern, GI Joe.

The Nay Sayers shall remain strong in their opposition! But we will humbly admit to being wrong if proved so. Don't expect us to be proved wrong though! :)

There's little point in stating that a company with a bad track record has a good chance to fail. We all googled what their previous games were.

If MS was just concerned with pumping out a crap game for sales they wouldn't be paying for their development team to travel to several events to have the game playtested by the harshest critics of FGs, the FG players themselves. MS has some faith to put their money up for it.

If all they showed was the 2 minute trailer, I would have totally agreed that the game is just going to suck. But they went out of their way to stream like 10 hours of gameplay. They aren't hiding this thing, they truly want it to not suck like the other games that they surely had to crank out for the suits. You can tell they are taking pride in this game unlike crap like the Green Lantern game.

It's because of Killer Instinct that Microsoft pulled a 180 with the X1. True story.

Storms, the point is it will barely be killer instinct game. Fighting games have come along way since ki 2 was deemed a pile of rubbish this new game will play nothing like the originals. it should probably just be a new IP, and then release it multi format. In this day and age when fighting games are not as popular as the big blockbuster titles what is the point in limiting yourself to one machine? And possibly the wrong one that.

Plus why should anyone give anything that Rare touches a chance? I know these double helix guys are the ones that are putting it together, but you can at least see why people are skeptical. Especialy when double helix do not even have a proven track record.

My 2 cents. Seems overhyped by people in their +30's. Its not going to be what you want.

Well it seems that they have adopted the "totally listening to" attitude. We'll see how that works. They'll have to work extra hard to make up for that horrible track record of theirs and gain people's trust

I only want mah blood and finishers

Naysayers?! This game already needs to be scratched and started anew. It doesn't look good in it's current state. The animations are worse and more stiff than MK. They're not even staying original in their character designs and following a street fighter 4 inspired look. It's not KI. The combos don't look good. I played the hell out of the originals and was excited it was getting revitalized, and then I saw this pile o' shit. The meter gain off of a blocked fireball is horrendous. "We are doing this to stop turtling!" Why not just make a game with good mix ups instead of killing defense? Games are too casual friendly these days and are trying too hard to negate defense... it just looks bad and it needs a lot of help.

The only thing I like is what everyone hates... the particle effects. I also wish there was another way to show you that a character was locked from combo breakers instead of a giant X floating above you. From a spectator stand point... that looks horrible.

If its turns out that great then thats awesome. But I can why everyone should be skeptical. Btw I am not actualy negative person outside of tym lol
Being skeptical is good, but to dismiss the game beforehand is something else. We'll have to wait for the game and the console to come out and see but so far I like what I'm seeing. I'm being positively skeptical. :)

The combo system, which was the soul of the original KI's, is more or less the same, with new additions/updates to make it fresh. The general fighting mechanics have been updated to make them consistent with a 2013 fighting game.

There is absolutely no reason to make this game an exact copy of KI1/2, because you could just play 1/2. It's like complaining that Mario 64 doesn't play exactly like Super Mario Bros. for NES. A reboot is supposed to keep the soul of the original while bringing it into a modern light and making the game more well-rounded overall.

I do see your point, But with most other fighting games you build up a legacy skill over years and iterations, and with this one you dont. Same as MK now I think about it. Having really long combos? why not go play tekken or Marvel? I duno just looks soul destroying to me. But still lets see how it does.
