Hidden Cursor- Are we allowed to use it in tournaments?

I'm mainly concerned about majors like CEO, EVO etc coz I ran into this issue in one of our locals as I tried to do that but everyone said thats not allowed so I'm seeing what are everyone's thoughts on this and if it should or shouldnt be allowed.
I was trying to use it so people wont know what character I'm going to use so it'll reduce/eliminate counter-picking.

Are there any rules about this in the current EVO injustice rules? Coz I'm looking at it here and there isnt anything about it.

why the fuck not? i certainly hope so. it should be your god given right.
Coz its apparently their right to counter-pick, I think its mainly coz none of the recent tourney games lets you do that and people that want to go with counter-picking wont be able to do it.
I'm really worried about this coz this game is becoming more and more counter-pick based recently and seeing as how almost everyone will have a pocket Scorpion, say you'll want to play Sinestro or Cyborg or anyone that Scorps shits on, the guy will just bust out their Scorps if they just see you pick said character and you're already losing at the character select screen where the hidden Cursor will help avoid that, even if its just for the 1st match.

I think you should, because as tactical as the game is with counter-picking, fuck that noise. I mean it's either that or play the last second-picking game, which just wastes everyone's time.

EDIT: Do you think Batman wins by letting everyone knows what he's going to do? No. Batman strikes from the shadows... like the hidden cursor of the night...

In every tournament I've been to for Calibur, the option of double blind pick was allowed if you cleared it with a TO before the match started. Not sure why it wouldn't be allowed for this, or any other, game.

I write too much.
Counter picking is strategic and all, but so is using the hidden cursor, and you know, there's always that chance you could fuck up and pick the wrong character.

I would have kindly told the TO and my opponent to fuck off, and then proceed to use the hidden cursor feature. Does a gamer really feel SO entitled that he absolutely must know who his opponent before picking his own character? I hate those people that sit at the character select screen and wait for their free counterpick. Hidden cursor ends that stupid battle real fast. Mindgames should start at the character select screen. If you win your first game then you ultimately get a free counterpick before the set is over.

Nah but seriously I wouldn't have told a TO that. But I definitely would have bitched a lot.

Injustice: Counterpicks Among Us.

Of course this should be allowed in tournaments. If you wanna make your cursor invisible to yourself and count clicky sounds one by one as you make your way to hopefully the right character, go nuts.

The constant fucking counter picking in this game gets annoying as hell anyway.

...or just get good against your counters. As a Raven player, every other person I play is either Batgirl or Scorpion. All of that counter-picking doesn't seem to help, given the amount of matchup experience I have against them. Still, double blind should be allowed.

I do play against them anyway but it'll help to not have 7-3 disadvantage before the battle even starts. Hawkgirl vs Sinestro/Batgirl are both 7-3 or worse and there's so many people that I play online and offline that as soon as they see me pick hawkgirl theyll go right to batgirl when they were about to pick someone else, They get bopped anyway coz they dont know how to play the counter-pick character but its still fuckin stupid.. havent had to deal with this much counterpicking since like Vanilla/super SF4 <__>

I honestly wouldn't give a fuck if tournaments locked everybody in to one character.

But that'll never happen. Not that I think it should... I just wouldn't give a fuck if it did.

A lot of people would just do well to take the Japanese approach and stick with one damn character in all instances.
