i was referring to pathcing MK now for tourney people. They deserve that. That game sold enough to warrant them spending time and 20,000 to really patch it. These are just bad business practices that show they're lack of concern to their followers. SFxT was dying and they patched it for its fans. Capcom may have some bad practices, but they do care about their tourney fans. SF4 is getting another update. I won't return due to its programming flaws, but it shows they care about the tourney scene.

I'm trying to let people know that due to that of an arcade release is why these patches are coming fast and will continue to come. We are the substitute for the lack of an arcade version. I understand this and am ok with it, but these patches aren't helping the lacking neutral game... that's actually my biggest problem.

You guys need to stop crying about scorpion. He was fixed that is all, he wasn't suppose to be that way. If you are relying on random teleports to win, then you need to level up.

I thought scorpion was a little OP, but this seems like a bit too much. I guess I'll have to wait and see if he still has decent B&Bs and what not. I'm fine with a lot of top tier characters as long as they are good for different reasons, I don't really want to see this game become an abundance of less exciting mid-tier characters.

These patches don't help this game's neutral game, and I don't think people are aware that w/o a strong neutral game, this game will die soon. There are a lot of things that just don't make sense for a fighting game going on here.

BA's regular dive kick needs to be punishable bc DK back dash is horrible for neutral game.
BA is strong minus the DK already.

Supes shits on neutral game with f2,3 breath. Even if it was negative, but safe... it
's still just dumb. F2 needs to be high and keep the string as is. Make 3, a lil faster on 223 and his air grab have priority to jump attacks. Get rid of delayed MB eye lasers (GL's delayed Oa's rocket as well). How do you block something and have to worry about still blocking in case they MB at he last second. This is dumb for Bane characters who have to move in. They block and then dash (correct read) and then get punished mid dash?!!

KF, Scorps, and Batgirls's 50/50 loops are an embarrassment to neutral game as well.

Bats on top of everything he already has is plus infinity on MB batarangs and has 0 frames to recover?!! On top of that the MB hits you if you try to jump over them. What?!!

Aquaman gets a combo breaker every 10.5 secs in a game with 99 secs?!! His chip damage on trident rush?!!

This on top of NRS' ability to balance a fighter is why the hardcore FGC won't take their games seriously and why Dive Kick is on stream before this in NRS' hometown of Chicago. That's embarrassing.

I'm more worried about the neutral game first, balancing second. The neutral game is weak compared to every other fighter, which is why this game is starting to feel dull and losing hype fast (outside of TYM). The DLC always brings back a little hope, but then it fades. This patching controversy might be the only reason this game is still relevant right now. At least people are talking about it.

Someone in one of the other threads said it best... "this game needs a fundamentals patch." I really want this game to be successful, but I'm losing hope more and more every day with these "huh?" patches. NRS... please pay more attention to neutral game flaws first, so we can really see who needs nerfs and buffs.

long ass post, but i get what you are saying. The neutral game is very important in fighting games, a change in that would definitely be positive.

LOL @ everyone who had the season pass and was using exploiting scorpion for a whole week. scorpion isn't getting nerfed, he's getting balanced. what you guys got was like a beta scorpion. now, there's still nothing stopping him from hellfiring all match.

btw, why aas kf vortex not working anymore and ba dive kick being d1-able removed from the post? they can't just ignore them forever. hopefully those will be in the next patch.

I've tested this in training, I've tested this with Detroit Balln. Scorpion and Deathstroke CAN jump out of the F3 after F112 ~ 4.

I think what you are doing is jumping straight up. You have to jump back to avoid.

1. You can easily jump hellfire on reaction. I do it all the time.

2. Black Adam's divukiku hasn't really been changed. It's still safe if you space it right.

Il start at the word Batman. And all I will ask you is, how does he break the meta game with what he has?

You can't throw out the word broken just because he a very strong character, that isn't enough, he has to be game breaking, he has to challenge the meta game, he has to exploit the games basic system, and Batman doesn't. He is strong, yes, and in the right hands he is a nightmare, but broken, absolutely not.

And if you ask anybody who knows me, what I think of Batman, everyone will tell you that I think he is the best character in the game, hands down, you don't need to make opportunities for yourself, or space correctly, or wiff punish as the trait does it all for you, and I have no reservations about saying that, and I think he needs toned down, check the Batman forums, so I think we have different definitions of what irony is.

I've posted this a few times, if you don't see what is wrong with the first build of the character (Scorpion) then what is the point explaining it further, it should be obvious, especially to a good offline player like you...I'm actually surprised.

the startup is too fast to jump on reaction, and if you jump you'll just get hit by a spear even thought you're in the air. the truth is it's better to get hit by a couple hellfires if it means you get to punish teleport/spear.

yes BA dive kick was supposed to be -15 always but it still changes depending on spacing.

No, you can jump every time you see Scorpion start to raise his hands. It's not jumping on a read, its a reaction.

i already found out that the way he was made wasn't intended, but lets compare scorpion to some other chars (sf2 akuma who got banned), ssf4 ae yun, morrigan right now in umvc3, vergil in umvc3, mk9 kabal, he doesn't even compare to those by any means. Yeah his tele is annoying and of course his air to air game is probably better than most, but how is that "broken"? he had some bad mus even before they made the fix (aquman, killer frost, and nightwing were a few who actually gave him issues). I never said batman was "broken", i was just saying that how good batman is, there's no way you could act like scorpion is just completely better than him, that'd be a lie bcuz he hasn't even seen tourny play yet and batman already has a tournament (civil war won by REO). I'll just say this, i dealt with "ass" scorpion in mk9 and they never gave him the necessary buffs, so when i find out he is in this game and he isn't going ot be "ass" anymore, i dnt want them to make any stupid change that'll jack him up. I'll take the fix they did to him today, that i dnt mind, but i dnt want anything that'll mess up what makes him good.

did you just compare a legitimately good "jack of all trades" character to beta scorpion? batman's a pain, but you really can do better against him if you just pay attention and learn the matchup like i did. batman players can't win by mashing the controller on their face like scorpion users. maybe you'd have a better case if you said black adam instead of batman, but still, scorpion is THE MOST braindead character right now.

honestly, some of you have so much to learn.

i have so much to learn? right look at my tournament results in mk9 then come talk to me LMAO. If you can't deal with tele spamming, that's on you (and in online conditions that will only be viable anyways). Braindead? right like the things other chars possess aren't "cheap" but i already sense the bias in what you just said, you aren't fooling me. If you for one second think batman isn't in the discussion for being the "BEST" in this game, i dnt think you've been paying attention to IGAU tournaments that much. Also, I played sf4 for some years and i know about fighting games at a higher level than most do, don't question my knowledge of things, i'm only 17 and i play with the big boys.

nah used to play "SF4", but dropped it bcuz i wanted to excel at mk9 (which i've been doing). Also your statement was pure bias, and bias does not make a argument legit. I stated the many tools batman has and what he brings to the table, not "oh all he needs is a trait and GGs".

i'm biased, yet you're the one downplaying scorpion with your scorpion avatar. you should make a children's book with all these cool stories.
