Most people assume since it was a SNES port, that is sucks. Visually, yes, it sucked compared to the arcade game, but it also fixed some issues with the arcade game too.

if not, at leat Orchid, Kim Wu, Riptor to be there, along with the already confirmed Sabrewulf and Glacius .... all of these here, my favourites in the KI franchise

I think this game is just a remake of "Killer Instinct". I don't think we'll see KI2 characters in this game. Maybe as DLC? who knows.
