So I've been thinking about this for a while, and in light of the thread where Ninj was talking about playing Foxy, I had an idea.
What if we assigned a night of the week to do a lab, for TYM as a whole (or at least people that know enough to contribute). So for example, say for an upcoming week we do "Scorpion vs. Black Adam". So on the designated night, we hop into a stream, we get a good BA to stream and a few good Scorpions, and a bunch of representatives from both characters in the chat and possibly on Skype.
Then instead of just playing sets, in between the games we talk about what happened, what went wrong, what could be improved, the matchup and the tools both characters have, etc. People make suggestions.. Then we run another game. We could use online practice for this etc. Maybe a KotH with all Scorps and adams.
The point is to go slowly and actually talk stuff out, identify what's working and not working, and level up as a group. Get a few different people to play, check out the different playstyles -- maybe one Scorpion player does something that another one doesn't. Etc.
We save the footage.. Take notes.. We could talk about it for the rest of the week on TYM afterwards. Basically the point is for everyone to come together and share some info, learn, and level up. Then next week, we pick a different set of characters and go again.
I think this could be a ton of fun, and the archives and forum discussions could be beneficial to the entire community. Think of it as a matchup discussion convo where we actually test out everything that's suggested live, on the spot and make adjustments.
Anyway, I'm curious to see what people would think about this. I think it'd be pretty awesome
