Okay then why are you on this competitive forum arguing about playing to win? Haha.
You know what. Im glad you asked me that. Im here because I fucking love this site man. Hell I can't remember the last time this site had a dull moment since this game came out. I spend more time on this site than I do on the game. I know that's bad and I did horrible at a tournament but it just didn't bother me and Im not putting the time and effort as much as I should to be great at this game. If it wasn't for all this constant bickering amongst everyone on this site, I wouldn't be on here. This site entertains the hell out me especially when Im bored. When top mk players who used top tier mk characters complain about injustice saying''he can do this'' ,''I can't do that'' or'' this shit is broken.'' I get a kick out that. That's why Im here.HAHA

Scenario #1:
- Player A wants to rush down. Player B wants to zone.
- Player A can't get past the zoning, and loses because they didn't bother to learn an important aspect of this game.

Scenario #2:
- Player A wants to zone. Player B wants to punish with teleports.
- Player A gets blown up by teleport combos and loses because they didn't bother to learn an important aspect of this game.

Scenario #3:
- Player A wants to play without interactables. Player B wants to use and abuse interactables.
- Player A can't use or avoid interactables and loses because they didn't bother to learn an important aspect of this game.

I see complaints about all three scenarios on a regular basis. What is humorous is when a given player tells others to "learn to adapt" in one scenario then refuses to do so in another.
I just screen shot this. This needs to be a sticky. This is the issue we have on this site. This is a perfect example. All jokes aside bro. We HAVE to BUY all the DLC to know ALL the MU data. We have to PRACTICE with EVERY character. We must.

I can't blame you one bit.

Also: Holy shit, this thread is actually holding steady conversation and has been successfully underailed.

I'm so proud right now :D.

Also: Deathstroke can still win. Punishment is the best offense.

-Adapt: is a term that people should be telling themselves when faced with new challenges and obstacles.

-Shut up and get better: is what insecure, high ego people say when they come out on top regardless of "how".

These two terms lay on the same thin line as love and hate, spammer and zoner... As long as online and Internet is around.. Will constantly get confused, misused and will remain misunderstood.. Shame.

Funny Injustice Story of the current events happening in Angola.

Roque Francisco, and Claudio Kally have been playing Injustice since day 1, Roque gets a decent Nightwing which i had a chance to fight against yesterday, Kally was said to be the best Aquaman there is in Angola.

After they kick Smith and Mirelson's asses in this game a late weeks ago, Kally made a publication, proclaiming his SP Crew (SP means Saint Paulo, its a very well know area for having MK legends during the Trilogy Season) as the INJUSTICE KINGS.

Yesterday, i said my nephew who happens to fight me all day we play to scrub them and lame them out with Deathstroke, who actually wupp their asses alone before i even start play the game, by simply standing near to an interactible, and use gun shots, sword flips and screw up everything for them.

And Roque is a very experienced player, with ages of fighting games experiences, fundamentals wise, and very but very execution skilled, gets bodied by a kid, much more younger than him, shitty execution level, and shitty fundamentals who haven't even touched really the game not even nearly 10 times since we bought it, besides learning a a Nearly 50% BnB he learned in 20 mins spends in the game that takes no skill at all to execute and favorites his position because of the gun shot knockdown that sends characters full screen away from Deathstroke.

This wasn't even the case of them not knowing the MU, because surely they play these game every single day and quit MK9 since Injustice release.

After watching this, i now i'm so sure that any scrub can play this game at its current state, because the mobility mechanics of this game does suck and put certain characters in position of become a simply passenger of the fact that, scrubs can zone you, you can't block before your stupid long ass dash ends, and then even if you cover some distance, against some players, you will have to rely on the terrible walk speed this game offers to approach from a point where a zoning character can counter you with a special move and get away with it because YOU'RE STILL ON HIS PUNISHING RANGE, he is near of an interactible, he can AA you on reaction, and all you have to do is "JUST WALK BRO" Respect his jump because your character suck at doing AAs.

Idk how much you've read, but I feel like you would side with me. Of course normally I wouldn't bother with this, but I'm bored haha
I read it. I pretty much do.

In all honesty, if you feel disadvantaged on a stage due to the interactables, pick another one that favors you, learn the stage to know where you can find counters, or pick a character that better suits the opposition.

That is what I'm trying to do, just learn shit. You don't get better if you don't learn anything and want to be stubborn.

I like this comparison.

They both sound opposite to a polar degree, but they convey the same point.
It goes back to the ol' face VS heel comparison, because the FGC is wrestling with fightsticks, word tribal.
Some people think of it as the uphill battle against the debris.
Others thinking of it as breaking every glitch in the Matrix necessary to win.

You can try and rationalize it, compartmentalize it, do what you will with your conscience, but in the end, the flip of your proverbial coin is going to land on one of those two sides.

You're either Neo, or you're Agent Smith.

Either way, your purpose is the same: victory. Get there however you please.
But don't get upset if ignoring the necessities of competition ends up costing you down the line.

Tournaments can be fucking scary, dude. Again, The Matrix.
They can't be told about it. Theyhave to see it for themselves.

That's an important point. Playing to learn is just as important as playing to win.

Anger comes from pain... Wake up in the middle of the night to take a leak.. stub your toe on something hard.. Reaction? FUCKING HELL!!!!!!!!! Grunt, scream.... Punch something (repeat... Hahah).. Why? Because you hurt!
When one is angry, defense mechanisms flare up, excuses flow like a river..look at people's comments... See what comes out of people's mouth when they win, when they lose.. And when you hear said comment.. Think about WHY its being said.. In the losers case.. Much of it is from anger due to pain (in this case emotional).. And many times comes from the way THEY performed..however their defense mechanism causes them to lash out at others- in this instance, the one who won.
If the winner is a poor sport or says something uncalled for- that is usually a result of an inferiority complex because daddy didn't hug them enough (casual trash talk and jabs are usually accepted and are okay) you know the unacceptable I speak of..

An who says psychology does not exist on video games?

Man.... this wasn't supposed to be a thread about interactables

Okay, a Cage player is bodying a Cyrax all match, but then the Cyrax throws out a random hail mary net and wins with a reset. Cyrax player then tells the Cage player to "get better."

I didn't want that example to be thrown out of proportion... we've talk ad nauseum about interactables... I just wanted to call out the hippocrisy of someone telling another player to "get better" when they themselves aren't doing anything of particular skill to win...

(I'm trying to find the right words. I really am XD)

Honestly what your talking about is poor design. But in theory that cage player could have seen that net coming and punished it so no problem there.

#Gets bodied by a Scrubby Deathstroke. GGs lol

Your case is extreme, and I have no idea how they allowed that to happen. Lol. But that's how I feel too.

I'll say it every day. I feel like I lose matches at times in this game against lesser skilled players because of the stage. Not scrubs, but guys who wouldn't have won if not for ridiculous hit box high damage objects.

A better way of saying it is this. If there are 30+ areas of stages, and a guy I've played a hundred times in a month in a Frost vs Black Adam MU, can go 50/50 with me on 2 stages in the game, and loses 8/10 on the other 30, then he is not better than me. Yet if we play 2 outta 3 and he gets his crappy rooftop voted he can go to the next round and pass me??

That's that bologna. I'm working on bringing my Sinestro up but the guys i play are too good to bring him out yet. The only thing to learn from this is that this game demands you play a power char as a back up. Which I'm doing now, but still, still. Lol

He makes one mistake in an otherwise perfect match and loses, and so he has to "get better"

(Not trying to be a dick... That was just the argument back in the day. "I lose 90% because I make ONE mistake? BS!)

Maybe they aren't as good as they think they are... because if there is a problem in this game it certainly isn't Deathstroke lol.
its not deathstroke, but as any zoner in this game, if you play a rushdown character, its going to take some "Work" to get in. The problem is clearly the mobility this game offers, if it could be allowed at least of canceling the dash with a B3 or MB B3, it would solve a lot of problems where you are forced to become a passenger of zoning and interactible spacing.

Roque lost a lot and then later managed to beat out the kid for a few games, nightwing its a rushdown character on esgrima, but when he trait into staff he becomes a character like Aquaman who can counter zone at some point and still play good up close.

The wrong term came out.. What should have been said is "good game" or "nice match" or "hey, we should run that back"...
Back in my arcade day.. No one dared mutter "get better"... An if they did, they had better be able to back those words up outside.. Cause the fighting was not gonna just be on screen at that point..

Ultimately Shadow... The "get better" phrase comes from the "Internet muscles" generation and in all actuality lacks respect and humility.
