My Suggested Stage Select Rules For Injustice

I also considered this, but that eliminates the map in the background from random. maybe that would be better though *shrug*
im 99% sure it doesnt. ive used p2 select and started on the exact same stage/level as the background several times playing online. ive played like ~1700 games online and every time im player 2 i just mash "A" and take the default level so i have a decent sample size

i believe p2 is truly random and should be used. the only problem with it is i can see at a large tournament people forgetting and having to wait for the entire load screen only to go back to player select. minor problem that would be solved if there was a random stage button included (like in every other fighter in existence ever #wtfNRS)

Too old for this Shit
1)The better player should win, yes.
2)If a game has a mechanic that allows for worse players to beat better players then it is a bad game.
3) Dizzy admitted that his win over 16bit at UFGT had absolutely nothing to do with skill or adaptation or anything, it was entirely based on him winning every 50/50 and playing the level.
4) Noone wants wins like that.
5) I mean you might because you lack logic, but most people who play fighting games can recognize how stupid that is.
6) If the game randomly picks that in a 1/58 pick twice in a best of 3 set, well shit, but that's a less than 1% possibility as opposed to 50% like you want.
7) sorry if i want a more skillful game.
1) should.. Sure.. Always- no
2) X-factor, Supers, comeback mechanics or game mechanics in general all take skill and pre planning to play with it around.
3) So... Winning every 50/50 and playing the level "better" is no skill? I beg to differ.. That may not be "prime time" skill, such as AMAZING defense or UNCANNY timing.. But it is still skill non the less..
4) there are many that consider a win is a win at ALL cost..On this site even.. So no one is quite the blanket statement.
5) again.. Blanketing statement as "all" who play fighters see how stupid it is.. What about those that just shut up and play? Casuals and tournament players alike?
6) the griping and crying still persists due to ego being hurt that you lost to a TV.
7) and by more skillful you mean.. What? There has always been a character/stage/super/trait/mechanic in EVERY fighting game that has been unfair, rage worthy, has an advantage... Sorry if I like progression and like to adapt and deal with new elements, instead of cry foul/ban.

xWEBSx Youre wasting your time trying to tell people to level up

People are just babies
There is absolutely no reason to use 50/50 for each pick. Sure stages dont really make MUs significantly different, but that doesnt mean that it doesnt change the way certain matchups are played. Picking randomly will do all of 2 things:
1. Get rid of the excuse that the 50/50 screwed them over
2. Force people to learn ALL stages and not just one or two.

1.) so ego and excuses... That sounds like baby issues to me.. Lets get rid of supers, throws, special moves, and give ALL characters equal walk and dash speed.. And 1 kick and 1 punch each... THAT IS EVEN! FFS.... People need to get the fuck over themselves and suck it the fuck up. ( not going off on you Zoid.. But that bullet point.. Simply because it DOES exsist)

2.) people that only want to learn 1 or 3 stages- that sounds foolish to me... The odds that 1 of those 2 stages will be picked is slimmer than having an agenda in each stage..

The bitching is annoying and I would like to stop hearing about it. This way it is still fair and there is no bitching.

Also it isnt that foolish because almost everyone either picks atlantis or metropolis in the tourney scene. Like literally everyone(hyperbole). If you do random you force people to play on more stages, which helps the meta-game develop, gives the viewer some different scenery and forces people to adapt to any stage.

There is no logical reason not to do this.

I recommend trying out the old Smash rule.

Essentially it is random first game (this would be based on 2P cursor) and afterward the rule is that the loser may switch stages, but if he does he must announce the stage, at which point the winning player may switch characters, and then the loser picks his character and we move on to the announced stage.
