I'm not really sure where the complaints about the TV series are coming from. I was a fan of the books for a long time. I was reading Storm of Swords when it came out over 10 years ago. I think the series is awesome, doing a great job. Is there anything they missed that I would've liked to see? Yeah. Yet, overall, they are nailing quite a bit. Particularly, as mentioned before, bringing out a lot of the background characters that were easier to gloss over in print.

They screwed Jon over BIG TIME in season two. They took out all of his great ranging experiences with The Halfhand and the rest of the OGs. Instead we got a dozen scenes of him being sexually harassed. Season 2 was really bad, man. I mean, just look at the House of the Undying. Season 3 has been quite pleasant though.

When I was reading Clash of Kings I never dreamed I'd actually ever be able to see it acted out. The Battle for King's Landing with the wildfire though? That was a grand slam to me, knocked it right out of the park. That whole part was handled so darn well, I can overlook not having scene after scene of Jon doing the ranger thing. I certainly don't think Jon Snow has been marginalized at all in the series.

I always keep in mind that George RR Martin is on hand when they are doing the series and a lot of the changes are made with his approval/input, based on the hindsight of having seen how things played out on screen in Season 1, etc.

Before the series started, I could've made a list of my top moments in the books: Dany's birth of the dragons, the King's Landing wildfire, Melisandre's freaky shadow demon birth, Dany backstabbing to get the Unsullied, etc. They've just nailed all of these.

I've got some things I wish they put in, one of my favorite parts got left out, but I don't want to be like someone saying the Peter Jackson LotR series is s--t because they left out Tom Bombadil.

What I'm curious to see is how they'll handle Season 4. Will they do as Books 4 and 5 did and split everyone up? It is already at the point where you can go an entire episode without seeing one of the major characters.

I fuckin hate Game of Thrones:(

I knew what was coming, i knew about the Red Wedding but still fooled myself into believing they would change it from the books. I hate everything right now:(

At least they didn't do them like in the book, you know about what they do with Cat and Robb's corpses(not sure if I should say, seeing as its book only knowledge)... but who knows there's still one more episode to fuck us over again.

A real shame they didn't have Cat claw at her face while laughing hysterically. Would have really drove home the sorrow. Either way, Roose Bolton's actor was fantastic, and I like how Walder Frey called out Robb on his bullshit. Considering Robb's motivations for his marriage were way different than in the books, it seemed appropriate. Book spoilers:

Hopefully they end next season with a shot of Robb's corpse hanging outside of the twins with Grey Wind's head attached. It's important for later scenes.
