Players in top of leaderboards

I feel like this should be obvious, though. If your record is like 10,000/20, you haven't been playing good players. For example, my XBL record is a lot worse than my PSN record, because I mainly only hop on XBL to play guys who are as good as me or better.

If you are really challenging yourself and playing against equally-matched competition, you won't have a spotless record. So when I see guys that are like 2000/1400 I figure it might be a good match.

Not everyone in the top 100 is bad am currently ranked #77th on PSN if you want to play me to see if am bad shoot me up an invite, but just a word of warning, watch my videos and learn the flash MU or it ain't gonna be pretty but i agree with the OP most of these people beat the scrubs that liter the ranked match making.

I beat a guy who used Black Adam earlier today with a record of 2,200Wins, 200ish Losses in ranked. Before the match started I was like, "o no one mistake and I'm done! Don't even blink"!!! After it started and I got the flow of the match I can def say I've had tougher matches off and online. I'm confused as to how he even got a record like that. He was decent, but not 2,200+Wins decent.

Never be intimidated by a huge win/loss ratio. I used to get a little nervous when I'd meet someone with 500 wins and 100 losses, but the more I just jumped in on them the more I found a lot of them were frauds. Not to say all of them, some people have legitimate great records they can back up. But there are plenty of boosters out there who spam some easy GL or DD shit and decline a rematch as soon as you body them. I imagine they just hang out all day and abuse the same tech day in day out against ignorant noobs, decline rematches against anyone who beasts them, and DC out of a lot of potential losses.

Typical online shit. Still a fun game, just have to take that kind of player in stride.

European PSN I guess? I think I have played the same dude. He is above average(for PSN), but his record is not representative of his actual ability, just like myself.

I don't look at a players win/loss ratio to determine how good that player is, and i deffenitly don't look at a players xp level to determine how good that player is. I tought most people figured this out by now.

The leaderboards for this game are pretty whack in general. Even if you sort only by trueskill, it only sorts you if you're already in the top 100 for amount of wins or something.

I'm like #2 or #3 for trueskill in Xbox ranked last I checked, but a good 90% of my wins came from hitting people with shit they shouldn't be getting hit by because people don't know to block low against Harley Quinn and react to her 27-frame overhead. Doing well online means nada, and being at the top of the leaderboards for this game especially means nothing. There are definitely some decent players though.

look at their "score" or their "true ID." that's a real measure of skill. If they have a high score it means they consistently beat people who have higher scores than they do. It's like the ELO of fighting games
