I always found this weird. I heard that if you're getting robbed and you attack the robber, you can get sued. Just doesn't seem right to me. I can understand that it'll reduce unnecessary violence, but why should the owner of a house have to sit idly and let the robber get away with their possessions?

Awww no way! Tell me, how do you enunciate your words when the entire top half of your head separates from the bottom half when you talk?

LOL, I just added that part in because I imagine things run differently in the US, where a lot of the other members are from :p

I mean from the perspective of the school... they are liable and responsible for the children. So if he got hurt defending the kid... that would be on them. That is probably why they are being all pompous.

This BS from school officials is the same mantra that the government is preaching : "you have no right to defend yourself and others, that's a job for the police."

I'm reminded of a saying among firearm owners, "When seconds count, the police are minutes away."

I never heard that quote before... makes sense. It isn't really practical to go get a teacher while it is happening... I mean maybe the teachers would have helped carry the body out?:joker:

Israel has the right idea by arming the teachers.

Blow me up all you want. Their schools are safer since they did that.

Start arming the teachers with Colt 6920 and see how many punks shoot up a school or try to stab people.

I could just imagine my 70 year old 4th grade teacher Mrs Glass strapped the 9s.

I don't know... I guess there is no way teachers will "snap"... it is the punks on the street who are not affiliated with the school. I don't know... if the schools are safer that is good... still don't think it is a good idea though.

Yes, because 70 year olds have no rights or business owning firearms. Only young hipsters and thugs have those rights.
Except if MRS Glass was my 6th grade teacher instead of my 4th i could have easily overpowered her took her gun and shot up the place. Outside of the police and military guns always cause more problems than they solve.

Yes, because those "No Guns allowed" and "Gun free zone" signs work wonders. Why not have security officers that are trained then? For the money that schools pour into nonsense it would be a drop on the bucket to hire two or three veterans or officers to secure the school.

Texas already started it five years ago in certain areas. Worked so far.

See... that is a logical request. Trained security officers... best idea ever. Don't trust teachers...
