Injustice Game Sales Update -- 900K Estimated Sold

So according to VGChartz, Injustice has sold about 900,000 estimated combined units worldwide. That inlcudes 507K on Xbox 360 and about 407K on PS3.

Last week it did about 30K on Xbox and 17K on PS3.

Compared to MK9 its low, I think it could end the year with 1 million units solds (both systems combined), maybe a little more but less than 1 100 000 units.

I'm excited for this but VG chartz isn't exactly the most trustworthy place. They got banned on neogaf for making up numbers before. Those numbers sound right though, but is there any other source we can use for this info?

MK9 is member of a 20-year franchise though, which has become a recognizable national brand; Injustice is a brand new IP.

You're right, but everybody knows Superman and Batman, even in Asia, and the game has broader audience (not restricted to +18). To be honest I think the game is good but will sell less than MK, thats for sure.

It's doing very well for a new IP. I wasn't expecting it to beat MK9. A sequel is very likely at this point

Everyone made it sound like Injustice was outselling MK. I guess not... Aldazo makes a good point though. Batman and Superman are very well known. The MK crowd is coming from NRS... the developer. Plus it is T-Rated... It is doing ok... but it doesn't seem largely successful.

Superman and Batman may be known but that's doesn't mean they're liked or anything. Marvel is WAY bigger than DC overseas, these sales are very good.

It was always confusing to me they didn't push MK harder after the sales of it.

Does this take the Wii U version into account? Wont push the game up by a huge margin, only about 50k or so, but it's still numbers to help break the 1m barrier.

I'll be happy to see the game climb over 1 million units sold in the near future. I don't think its fair to compare the game to MK9. The most important thing is that a new fighting game franchise is born and these numbers will guarantee us a sequel.

Not to mention Injustice:Gods Among Us doesn't scream batman and superman from the title like MK does.

Ehhh mk9 had great timing after mvc3 didnt live up to the hype.. Injustice had some serious comp with bio shock alot of people who dont usually play fg's bought it.. My friend never plays fighters and he bought this game.. However the amount of ragequits on this game is retarded.. Never had so many people backout on me as much as if I was play black ops 2 lol...
