play the rest of the match and win....no but for real be a little more precise, on hit? on block? like, what do you wanna know

If only the Escrima b3 was a pixel longer, we could optimize our meterless combos a bit more without the annoyance of timing. Landing b3 after normal Fury is such a pain...though I think I'm starting to get the timing down.

Whats your bnb right now in escrima?

Well right now it's either.

(starter) xx Fury, f3, j2, (f213 xx db3)/(f213~4 xx db3) for oki/stance switch
(starter) xx Fury, j3, 3 xx Fury, j3 xx j.db1 for damage.

With the b3, I could put it in place of the f3 in the first combo so I can replace the j2 with a j3 which will give an increase. In the second, I can just put the b3 before the j3 for an increase.

To note, the second combo with the b3 and a f213 starter is 38% meterless.

Anyway, as I'm playing around with it more...the timing and execution to do b3 after normal Fury is not as bad as I thought it'd be.

I didn't even know you could b3 after regular fury lol...just comes to show that I definitely need to hit the lab with dick again soon

I know I'm a few pages late but I know Cosmic might have seen me at some point at ECT and I was damn addicted to staff. I'm just not a fan of escrima because if they block well then cool I don't have a plus special, also I feel a lot more helpless to jump ins since staff j2 is so god damn good for Air to air. I need to learn escrima better, and I'll take any training on XBL if anyone wants to help me :3

Well the good thing is that staff is his overall better stance so that is a plus in your favor, but on the plus for escrima regular flip kick is safe on block so thats pretty good, especially when you consider crossups

Yeah, I feel like when I use Escrima, I mash d1 2 into flip kick and then do u3 or u3 d3 until they block it, then don't do anything meaningful off of how + I am, and then I go into staff and proceed to never switch back.

Well I'm on XBL but unfortunately I can't find my mic charger at the time so I can't exactly do much training.

Do you mind running a quick set with me? I haven't fought any good Nightwings yet and I'm sure that I could learn a thing or two.

One more thing I forgot to mention. You can combo after b2 xx MB Flip Kick in the corner (it keeps them cornered). I'm having a hell of a time optimizing it though.

EDIT: Never mind, got the combo I had been working for...timing's annoying. 38% is always good though.

So does anyone find it annoying that a lot of the better characters require the use of escrima: Supes, BA, DD
Also shameless thread promotion... someone comment on my staff or escrima matchup thread lol

DD you say? I talked to Tom Brady about that matchup at ECT, and he said staff all the way against da doom.
