Honest question

After playing Injustice for a month now I've been getting the grip of the game more and more. What seemed cheap at first turns into learning and counter acting. I gotta ask though, why did they choose to go with a noob friendly style with some of the cast? I can't see any fighting game where you can do 1 or 2 moves the entire fight and win, most people will just quit the game when they see how it is online. almost happened to me too so I really must know why

Its about the appeal. Not everyone is going to have the time or patience to learn the finer points of the game and so simply doing the same df/db/bf + button input is more satisfying because the moves will help them win against others who don't have time or patience. NRS didn't just want hardcore players to want the game, they wanted comic book buffs and casuals to pick it up as well.

They can't win with one move if you don't let them.

It's a matter of learning but the game is made to be accessible.

I can understand that, but most people who got online access will be very much disappointed by the online community. I'm sure you've notice how much people have already stopped playing it. About half of players have left already

It's not winning with one or two moves or noob friendly style, it's about learning the game and playing against people who are better. This is the only way you'll learn to be good or better at the game. My guess is the people who rage quit against you probably just started playing and are not yet good at the game.

Street fighter is a game about learning. There isn't a single move you can spam and not get easily countered by. You can't stay in the corner of the stage and throw hadokens all day till the other one dies. My issue is in injustice you can, not only does the projectile go faster than street fighter, there's also variations

There's always a way to counter something. There's always characters that can counter another.

How is this a bad thing?
How is it a good thing? Most people will quit the game after a week when they understand you always have to wait and see who your opponent picks and choose a character accordingly. You shouldn't be able to see who your opponent chooses when online, just like most other fighting game out there

Name me one reason that learning multiple characters is a bad thing.

Because it can only help you.

Easy solution. Pick the best character in the game and use them. If you want to be good/better you'll need to learn other characters. It helps you to learn their weaknesses, strengths, and counters. This is probably the easiest way to advance your skill in the game rather than playing one character and trying to figure out how to beat each and every character you face.

You don't consider people who just arrive in fighting games. Like I said, I don't get why NRS would go and hope for people to play and train long hours before having any fun online when your releasing a title that obviously isn't just for fans of the genre. If this was my first fighting game I would've returned it to the store 3 days later and I know a lot of new comers did exactly that. From a business stand point it's not a good move

The time it takes to do so? you got 20 characters to learn BEFORE actually working on your own character, why do you think that makes sense?
