Strategy Flash one bar 50%-58% punishes.

Okay. Flash has some great punishing combos. I don't know if you guys know some of these. but this ones great. I'm not sure if these are old because i kinda made these up my self. But here they are. these are great for example, DS does sword spin, -18+, and can go for a 112 punish (112 does the most damage. Zyphox If you have a capture card and these are new and not old, please record these and mention me in the video thanks.

1 bar, 52%.(weird at first, easy to pull off)
112 close sonic ground pound(mb), trait JI3, 3 lightning kick, 32 lightning kick B22F3 lightning charge.

1bar 58% (SUPER SUPER SUPER TIGHT TIMING, not practical because of hard timing, but if mastered its nuts.)
112 lightning kick MB, trait Lightning kick x3, B2 Lightning kick, B2 lightning kick, B22F3 lightning charge.

1 bar 51% (easy execution.)
112 Lightning kick MB trait, 3 lightning kick, 3 lightning kick, 3 lightning kick, B22 F1 lightning charge.

1 bar 52% (found by zyphox)

Whats great about these? they all drag you to the corner. Which means, if you hit a regular sonic ground pound MB, its a over head cross up leading into resets. meaning you can deal up to 75-85% damage total off of a reset, keep them in the corner, hit another regular ground pound for 10%, and chip for 100%. Zyphox can we make a video for this?

Wow..cant wait to try these myself. I would love to give every deathstroke player 50% damage everytime they spam that predictable shit. Pretty sure some of these are in combo videos but i havent seen them in a "punish" video..i guess its kinda the same thing but thanks for the info and good job!

i don't think they're in any combo videos i kinda made these up myself, well atleast i haven't seen any.. you're welcome. and yeah. thats only one of the many situations.. I should probably make apunish video for you all.

Do these combos work off of other starters as well? He has that overhead starting string. Can you do that into the close ground smash?

the overhead string is too slow for a punish... but yes they do.. this is for punishing combos though.. Although;
If you are working on hit confirm the highest damage i found off the over head is
F21 lightning kick Mb trait 3 Lightning kick, 3 lightning kick, 3 lightning kick, B22F3 = 49%.
112 is better to use for punishes since its an 8 frame start up, keep that in mind.

yesterday at nextlevel arcade tournament i hit a 56% it was f21LK MB LK LK LK LK LC LC 112 112 LC, it wall carried so i reached the corner and it set up an oki situation. but i'll try these combos out tonight and at vsm, i cant capture anything because am in NYC right now visiting my mom, but next week when i get home i'll record them and mention you. :)

112 is pretty unreliable. it's 50/50 spacing chance that you'll either be pushed back too far from blocked sword spin or you'll have enough room to 112

b22 is more reliable and you can still punish sword spin on block. both 112 and b22 require strict timing anyway

  1. b22 xx sonic pound (mb) xx dash xx lightning kick (4) xx b22, b22f3 xx lightning charge (58%)
  2. b22 xx sonic pound (mb) xx dash xx lightning kick (4) xx b22f3, 32 xx lightning charge (58% only works midscreen juggled to corner)
EASY
  1. b22 xx sonic pound (mb) xx dash xx lightning kick (3) xx b22, b22f3 xx sonic pound (53%)
i also want to point out that sonic pound starter is superior to lightning kick in a lot of areas. 2 most notable are
  • it's amazing mixup potential
  • it's combo damage scaling

112 hits. not unreliable.

I'm getting 57% on the second one. Not sure if just some weird timing issue, or the posted dmg is wrong. either way 1% doesn't matter too much. Just letting you know :cool:

am I the only one that hates trait combos with like 5 flash kicks? just hate the way it looks :confused: I usually go for

b22~flash kick mb, d2~trait, 32, 32, 32, 32~upcharge

or just replace the 32's with f21, f21, f21~upcharge

in my own combo setup i learned why it's 57% sometimes. have to let the combo drop as low as you can and then pick them back up with the b22f3. if you start b22f3 too early it won't get that extra 1%. i thought it was a hit on the double hit from f3, but after enough testing it doesn't matter if it's 1 or 2 hits from f3. what matters is that you have to let them drop as low as possible. tested this with

f21 xx sonic pound (mb) xx opposite dash xx Lightning kick (5) xx b22f3 xx Lightning charge. (56-57% same amount of hits)

oh I know they don't do 50 percent, which is the downside to them unfortunately. just giving alternates to people who do t like those combos like me :D and does it really? damn. I haven't been playing much flash lately, I keep finding new characters to play with soce everyone is so fun :D

Too bad you don't talk about the meter gain in those processuses. Is there any good +50% combo where I can regen a full bar ?

best meter gains focuses on using specials. so people who say stupid shit like i don't like doing 5 Lightning kicks in a row it looks dumb are dumb.

After a ground pound MB trait I always : dash forward (maybe I possibly can Ji3 here), 3, 2, df1, 3, 2, df1, 3, 2, ground pound for around 47% full combo if I'm not mistaken.

After a df1 MB trait I df1 x4 and then double charge. (47% I get back +3/4 of the bar).

I can do those constantly online I've got good amount of damage, meter, and not so hard executions.
