Exactly. There are more viable characters than meets the eye.
Only non-viable characters are probably Bane,Joker and MAYBE Shazam.
Yeah, it's easier to list non-viable characters than viable.

Of course the game is so early and characters that I think are useless may have something that is discovered later to propel them to the front of the pack.

MK is kinda dope
Then why don't you all start using common sense and ban Kabal and Cyborg from tournaments? Usually, when characters have a tier for themselves, we ban them, right?
No, that is some pussy ass new school mindset, that is not normal at all. In what past situation was this "common sense"?

EWGF hits high and I believe it can be sidestepped. It's not some unbeatable god-move send from the high heavens to crush everyone that doesn't learn how to do it.
If you ever truly tried to play TTT or even TTT2 on a competitive level, even though it's high and you can duck it, you'll always be convinced it's mid cause it's just THAT kind of weird move. And yes it can be sidestepped but..........do you have any idea how difficult that is to do? I have never seen anybody consistently do that in a tournament setting.

Right. Mishimas never blatantly throw it out in front of your face to even sidestep it anyway.. They throw it midscreen to keep opponents honest. It dominates when you play footsies with it.

Glad to see some hope in the kommunity.

The thing I like about top tier characters/broken characters is how players of those games approach the match up and it's a very beautiful thing to watch once the metagame begins to adapt to the brokenness of a character and when pros grind as much out as possible in order to overcome the odds against the character based on the experience and fundamentals they gained from the community they are a part of. All this bitching and complaining about balance only makes us look pretty bad tbh. I prefer we all adapt rather than cry for something to accommodate to us like sissies.

You should never really accept something really broken though, that's just poor judgment.

If you don't accept it and learn about it, then you can never truly know it is broken. What might seem impossible at first, could actually be easily countered if people take the time to combat it, instead of giving up instantly and declaring it broken.

Im not saying don't learn about it, by all means do. Its just once the point is reached in which it has been tested and the whatever has no legit counter or relies on the user to be stupid in order to counter it then don't accept it. People tend to blindly accept everything in games.

Again, not saying anything currently is broken, but things are certainly too safe/easy for the reward.

I agree with this.

Get over here!
Why not a median? Why cant we learn what to complain about and what we should adapt to. It shouldn't be an either/or fallacy. Some things in the game need fixed... other things are not a problem despite the complaints. :16Bit
