How I think Injustice is put together

First of all this is my opinion and you do not have to agree with me but this is how I see things right now. I am fairly new to these forums but ive been playing FGs for quite a while now, and this is my personal view on how Injustice is put togheter/balanced. IMO Injustice is made to be a MU based game with versatile characters with each an unique toolkit. That being said there are some characters slightly better than others obviously but since when are FGs completly balanced. I have yet to see a completly balanced FG.

As I was saying each character has an unique toolkit and an unique playstyle. So when I look at it this way it looks like NRS meant to create a game based on MU where each character has good and bad MUs. So that a single character cannot rape the entire cast, this also forces people to learn MUs and learn more than 1 character wich takes a decent amount of time. That is imo the reason for the whining going on. I think people are just lazy and just want an ''auto-win'' button instead of putting time into multiple characters and learning MUs, once people will realise this I think this game will become more intresting. Since imo the majority of the cast is good and versatile, also the characters who are considered ''bottom'' tier right now are yet to be used to their full extend. So I wouldnt ''hop'' from character to character just because your character is being considerd a bottom tier character.

This is how I see Injustice atm a MU based game with an awesome cast full of unique features and characters. Please feel free to leave a comment with your own opinions about this.

I am pretty sure you are right. I have yet to notice the KAWBAH of this game. It does seem like every character is unique... and that the tools work better against some but not so well against others. There are just a few things a little unbalanced. I feel like most fighting games could be described that way though.

How Bane was made:

People took him to testing.
Played with Venom in practice mode
Saw huge damage and took out all decent specials and replaced them with things like Raging Charge
Gave him super debuffs because price of divekicks-- I mean Venom
Balanced character.

Here's my take:

Each character is really good at doing 1 or 2 things. If you take away their ability to do that one thing, the entire matchup becomes lopsided and falls apart. At least, I feel like this is true in the current metagame at the level that I am playing at. Of course good players transcend matchups and all that, but right now I feel like this is a SUPER counterpick game. It's impossible to only play 2 characters, you have to have at minimum 3 if not 4 or 5.

But I'm a scrub so, what do I know lol.

so is it safe to say you want a character from each achetype IE: pure zoner, well rounded, counter zoner?

I think a few of the well rounded characters can get it done those being black adam, superman, batman, WW, GL, aquaman but I cant say that as a main of one of these characters that I dont fear that at the highest level some pure zoners(deathstroke/cyborg) wont be nightmares. Same goes for serious rushdown(doomsday) and perhaps others will emerge as bigger threats then they already are.(flash/catwoman) That said I could see the grapplers and counter zoners becoming really just utility characters for busted match ups.

Really hope it doesnt become this counterpick heavy that we will see more strategy in the character select screen then we will in the actual match itself.

Only time will tell. I think its already a counterpick heavy game, and this is only 1 month in and people dont utilize their characters toolkit so the more the game developes the more the character select will become a game of chess.

Thats basicly the point you HAVE to master atleast 3 characters to not get trashed by certain MUs, and I think this requires patience and practice and thats why people are complaining about the ''braindead'' characters such as AM, SM etc. I do think all the characters have weaknesses that are yet to be discovered, so who knows maybe a month from now people will be complaining about The Flash instead of DS.
