Corner trapped against certain characters.

Hey guys,

I have some issues and would like some tips.
I seem to have major issues against characters like Superman, when I get trapped in a corner.
I feel that there is nothing I can do apart from just stand there like a fool.
Jumping seems futile, a down attacks seems futile blocking does not help either, cause I'll either get a low hit or an overhead. and even if I do block a combo, I barely have time to react.
MB B/F3 does not work either, as the 1 hit of armor I get is not enough.
What am I doing wrong?
The characters I play are Black Adam, Lobo, Catwoman and Shazam.

The corner is the only place where Bane is viable. /unrelated downplay

Anyway, try push blocking(pressing back+meter button when blocking) After that it becomes a neutral situation so if you make the right reads you can escape.

Black Adam doesn't have anything good, not sure about Lobo, Cat Woman, or Shazam.
I'll look into that.

Like it has been said, pushblock is amazing in this game. I abuse the shit out of it to get me out of corners, frame traps, or if I just want to create space for footsies. It's really good and a big part if your meter game should be sitting on a bar for a possible pushblock against certain characters with great corner games.

Pushblock won't do shit if you don't do basic movement, not sure why you quit on the 2nd game but I can already tell you don't know how to play footsies yet, you can't give people mixups for free.

Something we could work on if we continued playing.

Shazam is limited in the corner, alot of his stuff is quite slow, the biggest advantage i've noticed is you that it's easy to teleport out of the corner against DD, but most other characters this doesn't apply.

You will have to sit there and block his attacks until you have enough time to torpedo out, if he blocks it you're still out of the corner so happy days.

Of course if you're low blocking they will attempt to jump in and hit you over head which is the perfect time to b3 MB, I tend to punish most air attacks in the corner with an armored B3 to get out, which you can then of course follow up with ji2, f223 dbf1. :)

Finally Shazams D3 is one of my favorites in the game dare I say one of the best, it has a stupid hitbox and for that you can block attacks until you can slip in a D3 then either tele out of the corner or torpedo him just as he's getting up, You have the chance of hitting them aswell then but if they block it even though you're out of the corner tey have advantage, not a huge advantage though.

Try some of these methods out if you're being corner pressured while Playing Shazam & hopefully something works.

Yeah, Sorry about that, it's late and I'm a little frustrated, though I just felt like I'm getting my ass kicked for no reason.
I did invite you back but you went offline.
I'm always willing to learn, right now I'm just out of it I suppose.
Batman, Green Lantern, Superman, tick me off on sight too, though that's no excuse.
