Every character has a projectile in some fashion first off

Make it where: If you get hit for trying to go for an interactable then you should be punished for the same amount of damage it would have taken on your opponent and this changes everything

I came up with this idea using by using Sinestro and using my trait shot for anytime i see anyone go for any interactables to blow them up for trying but the issue here is i would have taken 16%-20% on hit where as i believe they take somewhere near 5% now and some do absolutely Z E R O extra for me stopping them?

Im not sure what to do about the InjusticePig - He might need to stay the same :)
If people are going to complaining about interactables then we should just turn them off. Turning them off will make this a more "skill" based fighter.

I'm fine w them

If they don't change I'm perfectly fine, I use them more than anyone

But this would add a more risk/reward equation

Does it make sense to u that you're holding a bomb in your hand and if u were to hit me I take 20% BUT if I hit u and that same explosion happens u don't take 20 but u take an extra 0% or 5%?

I never liked them. I don't like playing matches were I know I'm better than the opponent, but they get a combo going into a screen transition, which I'm fine with btw, and after its over they have a free interactable above their head leading into a free 20% of damage. I'm sick of seeing tournament games of people who abuse interactables constantly and dubbing it "High level play". Kinda silly if you ask me.

If there is grass on the field.. Play ball.nature of the beast I am afraid.. Something extra you have to take into consideration.. I like them :)

Hahaha! Aside from your hilarious comment I would like to see competitive IGAU play be without interactables. Screen transitions I'm cool with because DOA has them and their properly done.

Technically you need to remove the grass from the field and build a baseball field to play ball because playing baseball on just grass doesn't work. You may like them, but it doesn't mean its healthy for the game. I love nutella and bacon, but I don't eat it because Id like to live past 23.

You assumed baseball.. Playing soccer, football, rugby all work well on grass ;)
Sure it's healthy for the game.. You have to plan for interactables.. At the start of the match, each character has a 50/50 shot of eating a tv...

Since when is Nutella a bad thing?! :)

I get what you are saying.. But banning is never a good thing. I would rather win with ALL factors in play, then winning with handicaps, bans and other factors NOT giving you the fullest of the game. I believe I am in the minority there though :)

Actually I was thinking about something else, rather than the opponent taking alone the damages if interrupted, how about doing it for both, just like the grenades in the batcave, but also just like the grenades, reducing the damages done?
This way it won't be too broken.

Or just make it so interactables don't do so much damages when the opponent is knockeddown/5-10frames after a reset that leaves the opponent standing.

Lol well when u say play ball that is the universal term for baseball ;)

Nutella is sooooooooooooooo bad for you :'(

Interactables ruin my day. I try to turn them off but if others keep them on then its will remain on. I have to spray my 1% arrows by chance he will pick up motorcycle because if i change arrows or any other nonsense i will have a huge chance of taking a good 20%. But when i use the motorcycle it basically screams out "GET OUT OF THE WAY or poke me and ill explode off of it" but let some muscle character throw one and all hell breaks loose from that auto aim. Im more afraid about the stage select then character select all im saying haha love the characters and fighting. Interactables Amongst Us

I've always wanted to propose my own change to intractable damage specifically.

I personally feel that the reoccurring ones should do less than or exactly 15% and keep the one time used ones at what they are now.

There's nothing more frustrating than chasing a DS or Sinestro and getting more than half way there then BAM! full screen again to take more chip.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE intractables, but a damage tone on stuff like that should happen.

I'm fine with it either way, just my 2 cents

Some stages heavily favor power characters. Holy shit is it boring to watch California top players flock to metropolis roof and get 50% of their damage from planes that respawn every 5 seconds as they mash on backdashes that reach half screen.

I disagree with the damage reversal thing on the grounds that it would screw some and empower others. DS would be a beast and Bane would fall off harder. I know he can charge through with his venom but the problem is the weakness he would suffer afterward. Bane's venom is a curse when it wears off. Why should he have to suffer yet people like DS get to be better for no reason. You want to balance them then lower the damage they do. Intractables and transitions do too much damage in my opinion. That would be more balanced then the reversal of damage thing.

I agree with this. They're going to have to take this one step at a time and work out some of the quirks. For example I feel like the only reason the flower spawns so damn much on jokers asylum stage is so that the animation doesn't look goofy if gadget users were for some reason to use it. Same thing goes for the metropolis roof stage. The flying copters are part of the stage transition so those things respawn like crazy.

Grundy think you handsome!
This would greatly benefit heavy zoning characters where 2 out of 3 of them can throw interactibles as well.

I'm surprised nobody talked about this but since we're on the topic of hazards, Metropolis Museum's plane hazard is broken. There' s a spot you land it in where it does double damage. FYI this gives Bane a death combo since level 3 Venom makes it do 66%(it's 22%). Other characters can probably do the same thing.

Is that what happens? I noticed it once did HUGE damage once.

That said, its a bit like the bug in the menagerie. Very crappy hitbox.

Well no, the point is, if you arent close enough to the opponent to either dash under them, or AA them, its their advantage to be able to throw the thing.
On top of that, air to airs and anti airs dont scale in this game, so you're already taking 2x the amount of damage if you float them out of the animation. The fact that DS and Sinestro can already interupt it full screen is pretty privileged.

And then theres characters like Bane, no means to stop it fullscreen other than Venom. Venom is so crap i'd intentionally make him use it to counter a projectile so I can get a chance at a 34353453454% combo on his debuff for no meter.
