Issen
Legendary Scrub
Hey guys, I'm Issen, from Brisbane, Australia.
I've kinda been lurking around here for a while, first for Injustice stuff, and now I've been trawling through the MK9 sub-forums now that Australia has the Komplete Edition.
I suppose my history with Mortal Kombat is in order, yeah?
If I remember correctly, my first MK game was Deadly Alliance on PS2. Of course, this was way back when I didn't even know people could play video games in tournaments, so I just had fun bashing buttons and learning fatalities. After that, I kind of went backwards. I got myself a Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) and found myself with a copy of MK2. Same deal as with DA, though I really only ever played Raiden because the Fergality was the only finishing move I could pull off consistently. Then came MK3 and I thought the dial-a-combos were the best thing ever.
After a while of unsuccessfully trying to get my Mega Drive to work, I sold it and all the games around the time that I started playing Deception. A while after that I started playing UMK on my DS, and after 2009-10, when I started moving into fighters more seriously, I played UMK3 on MAME (Human Smoke's juggles were so bomb), and then kind of just left the MK series for a while.
Anyway, nowadays, I'm playing Injustice alongside a few other games, and I'm starting to pick up MK9 (it has an appeal to the Tekken player in me).
In Injustice, I'm playing Green Lantern and Batman, and in MK9, I'm working on Reptile and Sub-Zero.
I look forward to some good times.
