ECT5 - Ferris Aircraft Stage Banned, Lobo is Allowed

I understand your point, but would you be okay if that 1 in 1000 chance happened during your tournament set? Or a GF when money was spent to attend and money is to be made by winning?

It's not a big deal. It's going to be patched and fixed. The stage will be back in tournaments eventually.

Would I be okay? Depends on if I main Ferris or not (which I don't). That's why its significant. If Ferris is part of your gameplan, this ban has severely affected you. Aris' made WNF look silly with Ferris and DS. You think people won't play to that?

The glitch isn't game breaking. It isn't a freeze, or a crash or anything major. You can literally just scrub the round and restart. Or even ban the affected interactibles, but to kill a whole stage on a 1 in a thousand glitch that doesn't even break the game?

Dude, it's obviously personal with you. Tournaments are not about personal preference. It's about broken shit.

I get it, you like what that particular stage has to offer...unfortunately at this current time there is a glitch that prevents both opponents from seeing each other. It is going to get fixed, you are still going to be able to use it at home, it just wont be used in one tournament.

That's all it is. Just relax.

Do you only read some of my words? What about the other stages where the exact same bug happens? Why only ban ONE of the stages? Thats dumb...ban them all or ban none if you are to be consistent with your pov.

IDC.. ban the damn thing, I just do not like ppl making custom rules for something so rare.

And again, this type of glitch occurs in MULTIPLE Stages. Will you ban each one it occurs in? Because it will mean banning half the stages in the game.

I agree with you entirely, the ones that have this glitch should be banned currently.

I am pretty sure that as soon as I agree with YOUR statement you will attack me for agreeing with it.

In this case, this stage in particular has physical proof (It's happened to me personally).

I am glad it's getting fixed tho.

Alright guys, I'm putting out a challenge:

If anyone in this entire community can provide us with visual video or photographic proof that this glitch still occurs on the current version of the game (the one that we received a patch for on Tuesday), I will shut my mouth. It will also have to be on the console that ECT is going with as a tournament standard.

In the event that no one can provide this proof by the time that ECT arrives, I call that this stage be unbanned for ECT.

Any stage that has foreground objects which get stuck and obscure the viewable area for the players must be banned. If every single stage has something like this and it is random, we have a huge issue that needs to be address immediately. This means the game is not yet tournament viable. If these glitches are reproducable we have another problem.

This has nothing to do with "experts" or "custom" rules. This is common sense rules and FGC wide game breaking glitch standards. We need to get to the bottom of this and fast.

Can someone confirm this? Go to the lab or whatnot and try to replicate this? If somehow, this can be tested on an unpatched version vs. the recently patched version: we will be able to verify if this week's patch resolved this bug. Or possibly if this is NOT the way to replicate it.

Someone had it happen to them after they patched this week.

Maybe it has something to do with the game going "cinematic", as I noticed in testing MK9, the cinematic part of game animation cause very strange things to happen. There's something about it that controls the entire environment of the engine itself. During command throws, does the camera change from regular gameplay to angles or anything? Another example would be during the cinematic parts of supers (and Xrays in MK9) you can't press select to reset the screen in training mode. It could all be linked if the environment changes and the objects don't know where to do. Again, this is all just a wild guess on my part.

Phil is supposed to talk to them again before the end of the week, this should be taken care of and put to bed ASAP as it's something I really want. Regardless I'm going to get them but right now we're working on a sponsorship agreement for them.
