people are forgetting another reason this game was made to promote DC character get people to buy the comics so saying Scorpion being more popular doesn't mean anything
now saying Scorpion will promote MK is something different

and many more would sell a lot more than Scorpion

From the main roster or the DLC ? It's an entirely different thing

Offhand, the only swap outs I remember hearing about were:

1. Skarlet was originally supposed to be in the base game but they couldn't finish everyone in time so she got cut to be finished as the first DLC character (but nobody was swapped in to replace her).

2. Fujin was going to be their back-up fourth DLC character if they couldn't get the approval to use Freddy (this is why when Fujin appears in Kratos' ending he has an updated design and such). However, they very quickly got approval for Freddy so Fujin was dropped.

I've also heard a combination of the above things in that Skarlet actually took Fujin's spot since she was supposed to be in the base game and got pushed to DLC, and they could only do 4 DLC characters for the time being. I can somewhat see that (since the Fujin voice clip was only found in her download data), but I'm not too sure of it since that would mean there were no planned female DLC characters if it was true.

There are 27 DC character in the game so far with the possibility of them making more. I think putting one MK character in for their own sake is fine. Idk why everyone is all up in arms about the whole this DC game should be DC characters only thing. Everyone said the exact same thing in MK9, and everyone stfu as soon as they found out how awesome Freddy was in the game.

Who cares about fatalities. Everyone hated them in MK9 so much and now you are bitching because they won't be here if Scorpion is in? Plus it's not like it isn't anything they can't put in a super. What moves would he have that wouldn't work in Injustice? The Spear? Hell Fire? Takedown? All of it would be fine in a T rated game. It was all there in MK vs. DC.

I'd say Scorpion signature moves are the Spear, Teleport Punch, and Toasty (even though it's usually--but not always--a finisher), with Hellfire and Leg Takedown coming in as secondary signature moves since he doesn't have them as often.
