Petition to ban the ferris airfield stage (Glitch)

I wish there was a sub forum for people who have attended tournaments before. Like in order to get into that forum you have to show proof that you have at least been to one event. Then ban discussions and xbox discussions could be taken a lot more seriously. AS of now anyone can just post whatever they want, never having gone to a tournament or never planning to. Then once you go to an offline event you are welcome to join that sub forum.

I never thought this community would get to the point where we would need something like this.... But I have to agree with you....

Wow, once you posted the pic it looks insane. Like I said before, never noticed this at all...damn.
This is possibly a big deal but I don't know if they should ban the stage just yet as it seems to be something rare.

How many times have you gotten this bug? I play on Ferris all the time in training for hours and never saw this once, so just curious.

As much as I like this post, its just something we can't do. Now does that mean TO's & such will listen to people they don't know or trust? Hell no. But we can educate them by calling them out when they post something extremely idiotic & tell em why their wrong.

That is because of trigger finger pressure from DF1

eventually your fingers will drop to the ground.
Technically it's UDF1 really really fast.... and BD1..... But yeah my karma for that will be arthritis.... and I accept my fate....

So they can completely ignore everything we try to tell them and tell us to go fuck our mothers again?

I understand your point man it's just extremely frustrating trying to teach people with no intention of listening.

They could use Star City or any location of a scene with him in the Justice League, for example. And I say not just him but others who don't have any stage, it would be interesting to have at least one for each.

It would also be incredibly alienating to a large part of the scene that in certain cases can't go to tourneys but may love the games and/or streams. One just fights illogic by providing proper arguments.

Also it would be ironic, trying to ban part of the scene from conversing cause you don't want to deal with them anymore, much like banning gameplay components out of a lack of desire to deal with the matchup :3

I've had this happen to me as well, it's not even like the cars in Streets, it's much worse. It lasted for a few seconds and I couldnt see anything, covered more than in the picture posted. The glitch is obviously there, would be a shame to have it happen in a tournament match. Not sure if the stage should be banned though, for all we know this bug might exist in every stage.

You're comparing apples and oranges.

It wouldn't be alienating if they didn't see it and it was a private forum. It's not like users in that forum would talk trash about members not in it.

Is it alienating to me at my job when I'm not invited to an internal meeting about changing functionality in our product I have no experience with? No, because I know I have nothing to legitimately add to the conversation. Even though I know the functionality exists, I have no foundation from which to offer insight. People who have never gone to an offline tournament also lack knowledge and experience with certain aspects of the game.

The boards have never been as toxic as they are now. For the first time ever I really hesitate to post anything due to moronic comments or attitudes.

This is not a matchup issue...it's a stage with a glitch in it that can cause you to lose over 50 percent of your view. Imagine this happening to you as you are playing Killer Frost. You have no idea if she is going to slide or if she is going to just sit there or pressure with her spike.

Or if you're god forbid playing a deathstroke. Now you have to contend with the interactable in the corner, low gunshots, and ex rifles without ever seeing the bullets fired.

It's borked.

You mean like you are now? I'm sorry this reply has me laughing, I'll be back in a few minutes with a more serious thought out reply.

I'm not talking trash... I'm stating a fact. People who have never been to a major offline tournament, never put anything on the line with the other top competitors, typically do not have the experience to add to a stage ban discussion. This is a glitch, plain and simple. It should be banned in tournament level pay until fixed. Especially because there are plenty of other stages to choose from.

I wouldn't be insulted, anyway...

To be fair a tournament is made up of more than the players. Like that guy said... there are no events around where I live. I still watch all of the streams and support players I like such as Pig of the Hut or 16bit... that doesn't mean I am not part of the event.

That is like saying a major change will happen in the NFL... the only people that have a say are the players. The millions who watch just have to deal with it.

This is a very simple case. The stage is glitched. I just want you to know that a tournament is much more than just the competitors. We are not stupid. We know the rules/guidelines. We know how things work. We CAN contribute to the conversation. :16Bit

Yes but they MIGHT learn from the very conversation or have questions. You'd let your hate of the few that post inane requests alienate a large portion of gamers with a more casual lean simply because for whatever reason they love and play the game but don't go to tourneys? Even such a forum where posting privileges were restricted but could be viewed by non tourney goers would still make it hard to ask questions, cause tourney players or anyone with the answers might simply never visit the other sections again. The Nogirlsallowed clubhouse is something that is not beneficial to the scene just to punish the part that isn't representative of all of them but is the loudest.

Some can, I agree, contribute.

But if there was a rule change by the governing body for the NFL, then yeah... the millions who watch would have to deal with it.

And let's make an important distinction on this subject that is realistically going nowhere as such a sub forum is unlikely to exist ;) : The sub forum would be aimed at having legitimate discussion from as many points of view from proven sources of knowledge as possible. We do not make the rules for tournaments. It's not like the sub form would be a committee for banning.

I was referring to discussions that impact tournament players being in that sub forum, not a forum where people will only go there and no where else on the site. Anyway Tim Static said it's not possible so it's a moot point.

Come on... I didn't attack your analogy :p. Leave the analogies out of this. If you agree that SOME of the more competent ones can contribute, then my work hear is done. :16Bit

Is there something you have to do to make this happen? I have played about 60 games today on this stage trying to see this in action and it never happens. Is it a totally random event?
