Bow before the mystery of Zod

Well if anyone's been in the Batgirl thread the mystery thickens on Zod. After unlocking Superman's concept art tonight I stumbled upon on what, to my surprise looked to be Zod side-by-side with Superman in the concept art. The concept art number is either 12 or 16 IIRC. The thing about this is that the art is a dead ringer for Zod down to his bear and greying hair. This mystery also deepens with the mysterios concept art of Superman with a blurred out face.

Aside from the promotional aspect of Zod being included to coincide with the release of Man of Steel, I really see no point for his inclusion. Regime Superman is General Zod by all accounts of the imagination aside from the beard and past histories, he even says "Kneel before me" is his 'outro'.

I'm more wondering if this is more proof that he's just a skin. Zod being in a side-by-side with Superman would suggest them seeing how the character would look compared to Superman and if it would work. But IDK.
