I love MK but I hate that he is likely to be in the game. I just want this game to have its own identity.

The game will still have its own identity. Even MK9 doesn't play quite like this game does, and no other fighter I've played is similar to this one at all. Injustice is a beast all its own.

I love MK but I hate that he is likely to be in the game. I just want this game to have its own identity.

I agree in that I too want Injustice to have/keep its own identity. The more I play the game, the more I'm really falling for Injustice just as I did MK9. Scorpion's presence in this game though, IMO, wouldn't take away IGAU's indentity any more than Freddy took MK9's identity away. Before Freddy came out, I was in the camp hating on Freddy from jump as I wanted to see other MK characters in there rather than him. In MK9 I still don't play him, and really don't want to, but he's there, people like him, and frankly he is a unique character in the game that adds a new flavor to the cast. The bottom line for his character though is that he was a huge success for them even if "I" didn't like him.

I see Scorpion the same way as I do Freddy, but this time I'm not on the hater side. DC fan are gonna hate because this is "their" game, but me being an MK nut rather than a DC fanboy, I just hope his gameplay style is able to shake things up more, as another teleporting character would be awesome, I we can finally see Scorpion beat the crap out of Batman...JOY!

I imagine his trait to be fire vengeance. He will take off his mask and have fire skull attacks

If Scorpion is really in, I really can't see these guys doing something that'll make him any different than his MK9 version. My two theories as to what his trait could be:

1. With each successful Spear hit, he gains a flame near his meter thingy. First flame is the hellfire flash kick he had in his F213 (i think?) string, or in MKD, second flame is a comboable version of that move, and final flame is EX Hellfire with a bit more damage added onto it. Could make him really scary as an anti-air monster, and I guess he'd have resets with EX Hellfire like Air throw into it?

2. He gets something extremely basic like Superman, a minor powerup with one special property like added invul or armor piercing or w.e

Stance Switch: Alternate between unarmed/kunai and ninja-to. This fits with the "Deadly Alliance" and "Deception" alternate stances.

IMO, his trait has to be 4. That way he'll play as close to MK9 as possible.

His trait should be able to throw his spear in any direction imagine the swag combo you could do with wall bouncing and they fly over you and you spear them out of the air would be boss

I said when Robo Smoke was rumored to be the final DLC character for MK9 it would be awesome if he had a command run or something. I'm not sure if it'd occur to NRS given we haven't seen running since MK4, but I wouldn't put it past his trait being an underlying tribute to MK in general in some form or another.
