For those of you watching the stream or actually there, what did you think of the man dubbed as Hype Man? If you're unaware, I mean the guy that kept yelling stuff in between rounds (like yelling at Floe saying 'Rufus you got this!' or when LI Joe/TrophyCLlub, can't remember who, went to Cyrax and he yelled 'Do it for the Predator homeworld!'), do you think some of his actions were inappropriate for a tournament scene or that his extra commentary made the event more enjoyable, like yelling 'Fuck Kung Lao!' during the PL and LI Joe mirror?

I personally found some of the stuff he said to be pretty hilarious and di provide hype, but deliberately insulting Floe like that was completely unacceptable.

He was a bit relentless with it. Would have been nice if they could have got him on the Spooky commentary for a little while though

At the start, I didn't enjoy the Hypeguy because I thought it was just generic jeering but my opinion changed when understood what he was yelling. Yelling stuff like "Oh my god, where'd he go?" and "Don't pick Kung Lao!" just added to the atmosphere and made the tournament feel like an actual sporting event.

A combination of hype and trolling is sometimes oddly entertaining.

hahahah nick gets his own thread the IRL trolling paid off. well hype man aka nick t wasnt nearly as bad as crosswaters aka drunk vegas guy getting peoples autographs lol. I was part of the hype crew and it was a good time we were there for our local man trophy club. day one there was also 4 very very drunk people cheering on their friends.

on another note vegas doesnt fuck around when it comes to our buddies getting in top 8

That fool was amazing. He was cheering me and GuyInGreen on in casual matches like "HOLY SHIT" "MAN THATS SO SICK" and stuff like that.

So here's what happened, I'm originally from NY and have been in Vegas for about 2 years now. Whenever I go to WC tournies now, there's usually like no hype at all even if the matches are nice and the game is actually GOOD. So I got there semi early on Saturday. It was in the middle of a Jade and Kabal? match I think. I was standing in the back and out of boredom I just started yelling shit out. I didn't care, wtf.

So I was just feeling lazy and wanted to sit down so I sat next to Big Marcus in the front, and kept yelling shit out, after like an hour, the group of people like 2 rows up and over were yelling after, then the other side of the room. So being from NY, I REALLY hate there not being any excitement so I kept with it. It didn't matter.

So yeah there ya go.

And crosswaters is always drunk, except for local tournies that he actually enters I believe. I can't imagine what he'll be like at evo omg. All I know is that by noon on Sunday he already had like 3 beers. By the end of the night on Saturday, from 10 - about 5 or 6 he was already on like beer 8 or 9.
