Would you have preferred Injustice as a main game in EVO 2013 over MK9?

Injustice has been out for only a week, but since then, this site has been 100% all about Injustice. MK9 at Civil War practically went under the radar, overshadowed by the Injustice tournament. Some top players have openly stated that MK9 is dead, with EVO 2013 being the only thing keeping it on life support.

Obviously, we can't change the fact that MK9 is indeed the game at EVO 2013, but I'm curious as to what people think regardless. And yeah, I know some people would want both, ala Marvel and SF4, but if, hypothetically, only one could be chosen, would you have preferred Injustice over MK9?

I voted yes but I am still super stoked that mk9 made evo as a main game for 3 years. Mk9 is my favorite game ever. That being said after the GFs at civil war I gotta admit injustice is sooooo hype as a tournament game

I'm really glad MK9 made it into EVO, specifically to spite all the haters who said it was dead after the first EVO.

That aside, I think Injustice is the new hotness, so I would have liked to have seen it at EVO while it's new and exciting.

It should be at EVO i mean i love MK but i wouldnt even have known REO won if noone had posted it cause MK is to boring to watch anymore. Its like Marvel now we all know who is going to win before the tournament even gets done. Make Injustice an EVO game thats my opinion

I think he means there are a lot of top Cyrax players in tournaments, so we see him a lot (J360, Maxter, DJT, Krayzie, Noobe, Mustard, GGA Han etc.).

I prefer next year, when the game (IGAU) will have a much more hype, due the fact that gonna have past more than one year after it came out, this way, top players will be trained as hell at highest skill level, and the competitive level factor of IGAU, will be in the strongest position ever

so, next Evo, I don't see MK9 making it for the 4th time in a row .... but, instead, IGAU being the focus point and highlight spot in Evo 2014. MK9 will always be respected by us, and it has a place in our hearts, but, the time for now (after Evo 2013) and forward, is for IGAU competitive scene to take the spotlight

At Evolution 2013 you will see the same ol' same ol' with MK (i.e., Kabal tier whoring, input bugs, meter drain glitches, etc.).

Injustice, on the other hand, could have been full of surprises, upsets, and new technology.

It still escapes me as to why Injustice was thrown into the Player's Choice voting thing. MK9 got a guaranteed spot before it was even released, I don't see why it couldn't be the same for Injustice...especially with controls that cater to Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat players, not to mention the ability to disable negative edge and interactables.

However, with how much I love MK9, I can't say I'm sorry to see it there. And besides, there's still the prospect of a side-tourney.
