We're not doing MK9 ranbats right now but, we have been doing MK9 side tournaments at midnight most ranbat weeks(In GR).

Kalamazoo actually has some ranbats and weekly play(not sure if they play any MK9 though) might want to check out facebook/srk for more info or PM me and I can try to get you in contact with the right people.

We're not playing MK9 much right now mainly due to the limbo the game is in. I haven't played since UFGT because of the whole "we're going to totally change your character but, you have no idea when!" thing.

I know there is one guy that drives from lansing to GR most saturdays and a pretty big group that comes from detroit sometimes. But, I would definitely drive out to lansing for a tournament, especially if it's not on a saturday!

yo who are these dudes from detroit that travels up there? N-E way i gotta small group of about three that play im down to host if yall want to come thru. I just wanna play lol. So get at me im down 4 casuals anytime(im currently unemployed)whenever ughhhh my 360 tag is samanosuke82 imma make a couple spots later on my list but if any of u locals tryin to play hit me up cell number is 313-629-1433. I should go on here more, I would have made a group page but I love this, haha. Great job, and I joined. I encourage everyone else here to join as well. Lansing would be a good place for me, and Downtown Detroit of course. I only have my parents to drive me right now, and my friends who are uninterested in the game so I don't want to hassle them with driving an hour or more somewhere to not even enjoy themselves. But when I am able to drive, I'll try to come out more.

Just saying, anyone in the Detroit area who manages or can manage some games or tournaments, feel free to let the thread know.

I live in Davison and I would like to know if there is a local scene for tournaments around where I live so I can get better at MK. And if so is there any age limit?

Not exactly from Michigan, but currently living in Windsor so everyone knows how close I am. lol


Would love to meet some people in the area who willing to meet and play. Still new to the fighting game scene and MK, but there's no better way to learn. Let me know whats happening and if/when you guys are planning some stuff. More than willing to make a drive to play.

Just a little side note if we do get a scene going in Michigan is there going to be a age limit? That would kill all hopes for me. :(

Anybody know if there is some kind of local tournaments or offline casuals for MK in michiagn? Would love to go, online is getting kind've boring.

There is a mom and pop style game shop in livonia that just had a small tournament recently (i won a PDP mk stick!)... the manager said he'd be doing more. Next time he announces something i'll make sure I post about it (or send everyone in wenis' michigan group a PM).

How old is everyone btw? i'm 28 but i'm okay with playing with anyone... I see tym kombo keeps bringing up age limits

as long as you're invested in the local scene then it's no problem! windsor is practically in michigan anyways, lol :)

luuuucky. i just finally finished modding my PDP with custom reptile artwork and IL buttons/joystick. i'll post it once i get someone with a camera over here.... re-learning the game with a PDP is challenging though, but will pay off in the end.

WTF can we play already, whose got the tools and devices, where can we go, should everyone play host? lets do a southeast michigan thing first, then move to lansing to face the kalamzoo noops that already have a scene, get this sht started, I cant play online another day or fucn jumping in the River, lets get something rolling

i find it quite cool that it's been raining all over michigan today when i was on the east side near detroit and in kalamazoo.... heat lighting right now on the west side of michigan.... in anticipation of raiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnn!!!!!

Hey guys, awesome thread! I was starting to get worried there wasn't anyone at all out here. Its hard enough even finding a gaming center around here...

I'm down for whatever. I joined the Michigan group so if anyone is planning anything or wants to I'm in. You guys talking about having some beers and hitting up some MK sounds perfect, someones house or center. Just stoked for some offline competition.

Just hit me up about meeting up for casual or tournaments!
