All through the year lots of us have had serious doubts about the clash system. Stupid idea. Boring. Repetitive. Gimmicky. Whatever. I wasn`t crazy about it myself.

But now my opinion has completely turned around, at least for now. While the animation may be just slightly too lengthy. There is a moment of tension here. ESPECIALLY when watching an intense match. I discovered this when I was watching the level up tournament last night. Whenever there was a clash, I found myself on the edge of my seat. "Who wagered more?? Will it tie? Is this guy gonna get a chunk of his life back?"

I have no way to know so I have to wait and see! Everytime it happened, it was hype. To me, at least. Is anyone else enjoying it, especially from a spectating position now that we understand it?

i still think regular breakers would have been better honestly, and the ability to be able to use them more than once in a match....defnitely better the clash.

I'm a fan of clashing as well. Keeps meter management super important. Only real complaint about it is the clash system is so important that Super moves are basically irrelevant, because if you waste 4 bars to hit someone with your super move they will just clash with you and gain 30% of their health back immediately afterwards...

Turtling is very valuable. You should be using Supers to go for killshots anyway, or using the threat of it to make them clash anyway.

I think it is a good addition and i love how everyone has there own unique dialogue for each other Twice, depending on who engages the clash.

Too old for this Shit
I am a fan of the system simply because its a new mechanic that has to do with an old tool (combo breaker). It is not a gimmick, it is not able to be abused, it is not a catch up tool.

I think It is fine the way it is.. And it can make or break a match... But not because it is OP, but because it is something both players HAVE to keep in mind.

So many variables- was it used this match?! If I save this for offensive clash I get this benefit, if I save it for defensive clash I get this benefit.. If we tie, I may need that lost meter to win...

I wasnt sure about the clash system at first, but after playing the game and watching the tournament stream last night I am a big fan. They hype I felt everytime they clashed on stream was huge, it really does create a suspensful moment. Especially when both players health is very low and the clash pretty much becomes a Lifesaver/Nail in Coffin.

Isn't that over kill? If there are breakers - why have clash?
breakers would cost 2 bars, and there would still be only 1 clash...i dunno, just the fact that if your opponent lands a huge combo on the first life bar you can do nothing but take it up the ass even if u have plenty of meter, thats the problem i have with the clash honestly.

clash system is awesome, it can turn the tide in a close match and the conversations some characters have with eachother make it even better

If it was MK I would 100% agree. Although this ISN'T MK. The game plays much more differently and faster as well. Breakers would slow the game down more than the Supers and Stage transitions already do.

Besides, Push Block seems to be a better thing than an actual Breaker anyways.

I still don't care for it.

It's less obnoxious then it previously was, but I still don't like that it stops the flow of combat.
If stage transitions were not a thing, I wouldn't mind it as much, but with both of them together in the game, there is potential for some really boring and annoying matches.

In general though, I'm just not a fan of any mechanic that breaks combos.

Its adds a nice layer of depth, only drawback is the cinematic. I wished the characters would stay in a 2d plane, also decrease wage time by a second or so to keep players on their toes. ;)

With the amount of combo dmg in this game, its definitely needed.

Is it me or is the actual clash input broken? It's supposed to be forward + mb right? (at least that's what the tutorial tells me as there is no Injustice instruction manual and the $25 strategy guide doesn't list how to do it) ...but f+ mb never starts a clash, ever. You can go into the clash section of the tutorial and test it. You have to hold forward, then rapidly press mb like 3-5 times for a clash to actually happen...it's like it's a completely random input, the only thing not random being that just "f+ mb" never clashes. I'm on 360 btw.

I think the fact that the Stage Transitions take over 1/3'rd a life bar is a HUGE deal compared to the Clash.

That's just ridiculous.

The only way to initiate a clash is to do the button inputs when your opponent is landing a 2+ great hit combo on you. Even if its just then doing 22 and nothing else, when you get hit my that second hit that's when you can start a clash.

I hope that helps and makes sense and is accurate.
