General/Other Pre-Evo Confirmation MMH Discussion Compilation Thread

It's not that I don't like him. To the contrary, I do enjoy his original stories and such. His view on vigilantism is interesting, and I think he's a unique part of the Bat-Universe. I just don't see why he would deserve a spot here. And to be clear, I don't think Harley deserves to be in at all actually, so the guns thing is irrelevant. But that's personal opinion. All I'm saying is that there would be nothing new he brings. GL/Sinestro are completely different, so people trying to use that example when asking for characters that are similar to those already in-game are ridiculous. Shazam and Black Adam is a better argument. But regardless, I guess I just think there are so many others that provide much more positive benefits to the balance of the roster overall, and that showcase a greater diversity amongst sections of the DCU. It's not the "We don't need more Batman characters" and "He'd be a clone" are great choices by themselves as a reason to not include him. But together, in combination with a desire to see greater depth of the powers and characters/perspectives of the DCU, it makes a compelling argument. If we could have a massive number of characters? Sure, throw him in! Unfortunately that's not the case and it just seems like so many others are better qualified.

i see where you're coming from i disagree that he wouldnt bring anything new to the table, granted there is a lot to the DCU and all kinds of different characters with interesting powers but i dont think all of it would translate well into a fighting game, i mean ANYONE IN THE DCU could be put in this game and made into a playable character but how many of them would make sense and not feel forced? id like to see some characters with different powers as well but i dont think the characters recognized as great fighters and have backstories that could tie into this story should be left out for it but thats just my own opinion (i hate that characters are selected because of gender but thats another conversation). i agree theres alot of Batman representation i think if not Red Hood NOBODY else from Batman should be playable but i will say the complaints about so many Bat characters are somewhat ignorant (no offense). as for Harley id wager she's important in the story, that + being female solidified her as playble but i dont think we needed her either. but all in all Shazam/Adam is the perfect argument against the clone talk there are no clones and there doesnt have to be. and if there was a massive character roster i wouldnt want Red hood because then he would be clone because there would be less time focused developing the individual characters. i can think of a couple better qualified but i also think theres room for Jason especially if theres 8 DLC.

I kinda wonder why ZOD isnt in the game? hes the main villain in the Man Of Steel and just featured heavily in the MOS teaser.... I have a feeling he might be DLC.

he could simply be one of the 4 dlcs

like i said many times already it'll most likely be 2 heroes to villains to even out the roster

Ok guys I think Boon just kind of hinted at all the 4 dlcs - he sais people always ask for Martian Manhunter, Lobo, Supergirl, Power Girl, Red Hood - does anyone think it is weird that he mentions five characters from which 2 are like the same Supergirl / powergirl? and all those he mentions were heavily hinted and Lobo is now announced

Martian is my priority too. He'll likely be my main. I'm too excited for him. Buuuuuut. Like I said. Not looking forward to Supergirl and Red Hood. Black Canary and another villain deserve it a lot more, one that is different and hopefully associated with either Aquaman or Flash, since they're the only heroes that didn't really get a nemesis of any kind. But I know, it makes sense if Supergirl and Hood were the DLC too. My personal preference is if they were not lol.

Of the 4 DLC's named I only want MMH! red hood, lobo and power girl do not deserve to be in the game. Grodd or Parasite would be awesome. MMH is definitely gonna be my main

You might be right but Grodd and Parasite are really unlikely and what are your thoughts on Blue Beetle and Static!

One of them is Martian Manhunter's silhouette. It's almost unmistakable. They just removed the cape. He'll be one. Lobo was just confirmed first. I personally don't think Blue Beetle's chances are high, at least for these first four. :/ It'll probably be a lady, and a villain.

I used to be really skeptical if they would even release more than the initial four for the season pass. But some of the people on here have said that NRS has commented on the high sales of their MK DLC characters, and that if they'd known they would sell that well, they would've made more. So maybe they're much more willing for this game, especially considering the demand. If the first characters sell well I think there's a great chance we'll get more, and in a second batch I don't see why Blue Beetle wouldn't be a good candidate.

That's what I thought and I was quite disappointed to see Lobo as the first character but if they do more then one season pass and put in at least one or both of these characters then I wont be disappointed.

well i think Static is not gonna be DLC at all - we already have Black Adam and Shazam who are lighting/electricity based kind of so i don't htink they'd put Static in also

Haha really? Harley is one of the few people that I'm just not that into. I agree about the DLC, as well. I hope if we get a round two that Blue Beetle can be included.

Well Ed Boon in his interview over DLC mentioned these 5 characters-Supergirl, Power Girl, Lobo, MMH, and Red Hood. Lobo's been confirmed already so this gives even more evidence for MMH being DLC.

Hmm, I feel the same way about Catwoman. She's not bad, just not my style I think. Dude, Hawkgirl... is bomb. I love using her. She's a lot of fun to me. Makes me miss her in the cartoon lol. I know! Having the game and enjoying almost all of the characters is crazy, so it makes you want them to make even more haha. Vicious cycle.
