I'm super glad to see that no one agrees with seven. I'll be on my way now.
Dang Soul, I thought we were friends, remember the fun games we had on Xbox, your Cage vs my Ermac? Just because you disagree with me doesn't mean we can't be friends.

I'm pretty sure I know who this is, saw similar ranting elsewhere (also partially while I'm avoiding elsewhere for the time being). In any case, though, I don't see the big deal. I can't think of a single game that in its first iteration didn't have major issues, be it an abused mechanic, poor balance, or infinites.

The greats of this generation have all had their fair share of issues at their outset (SFIV, KOFXIII, TTT2 imo) have ALL suffered. As people've mentioned, TTT2 and SF had infinites. King Fighters XIII for the arcade had some absurd balance problems (and probably technical issues that I'm forgetting). Hell, KoFXII may as well have been the vanilla equivalent for XIII, and it's such an absurdly bad game.

NRS isn't one to do commercial title updates, but I should hope that their rebalance philosophy has become better after their attempt with MK9. Immediate fixes for bugs and such, but a far larger period of time between balance patches and a greater extent of player input/testing/communication for them. Lots of little changes peppered around like bandaids just create a mess compared to a proper surgery.

I'm glad that controversial opinions like these can be discussed with civility and maturity. Its an interesting viewpoint, that I respectfully disagree with. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with what my friend said and I am sharing it with everyone. Even though I know people are going to start attacking us (not respectfully disagreeing but instead saying things like "you're stupid", "you're a turd", etc.).

I'm glad you have the maturity to be civil.

KILLA is classy like that.

In the closing portion of your post, you state that people should find another game on which to hang their hats. Any suggestions?

Though I see some balance issues with MK and at least what I have seen in IGAU, these issues are always going to happen in any FG out there. What draws one closr to NRS is their inate want to be different and not mak a Capcom clone game.

Capcom's FGs are just plain broken in general, SFIV is the only one with slight amount of balance and thats not saying much at all. MvC3 is an unbalanced overhyped casual FG sadly even my 5 year could win in it, SFxT just reaks of no balance at all and they made it that way puposely with the $h!t gem system, as well as it being a horrid nikel and dime scheme with how much content was locked away on the disc itself. Lest we also forget how many times one has to re-buy a game because they can't jsut not only patch the game, but add content to it like real DLC is done.

NRS did it right they listened more to the fans and gave for the most part what they wanted and they used tourny players to hel make the game casuel friendly and tourny friendly.

I typically never say things like this because I choose to remain professional and mature, but STFU and get out here.

In the era of MK9, with a reintroduction to 2D fighting and the ability to patch, the developers had a chance to take a well-designed fighting game and work with it until it was rid of major glitches and better balanced. Instead, they went to work on a completely different game! Which brings me to my next point.
Every time Boon & Co. make a new game they change the dynamics so much that--instead of fixing broken aspects of previous games--we are introduced to new glitches and imbalances. They've done it again with Injustice, and they'll most likely do it again with MK10.
The question is: why?
This is a PUBLISHER issue. The publisher is the one bringing in the cash, and the one who gets to make the key decisions. The developers merely execute them as best they can. WB decided their best approach to do good business is to put most of the effort into the casual crowd. This means more money spent on cinematics, minigames, or the next game even, instead of spending it to fix things and submit patch after patch to Sony and Microsoft. Since they are making their second game already, so far this method seems to be working for them. If people had a problem with it they would be voting with their feet, but even the "hardcore" players don't mind it that much to actually go play something else instead.

Well I mostly play Starcraft now, my friend is the one that said that post, I'm not sure which fighter he is thinking of playing next.

Actually, what Seven's friend is saying right there (NRS changes games extensively between iterations, meaning they can't really build on what they've done prior to make a better game) is true. Boon's said before that he believes there should be significant difference, for better or worse, between sequels to be a sequel proper. Lots of people like that opinion, but I can see why it's problematic as this friend suggests.

IGAU is and should be totally different from MK because it's supposed to be a new thing. But I hope that, despite very likely being on a new platform, that the success of MK9 and (potentially) IGAU will push them into not completely overhauling what they've done with these games and instead retain and polish the base mechanics and features that make these games popular in future iterations. In theory, this should make them better experiences for all involved.

Eh, personally, I don't really care for the Injustice demo. I find the movement to be very stiff and awkward, and I would have preferred a block button. Hopefully, it'll get better for those of you who may enjoy it.

I'm not going to starting an NRS rebellion my distaste for Injustice. So you don't like it... I really don't care.

To write a huge  super-angry  rant about a DEMO of game is kinda... weird.

This friend of Seven's was basing it on the pre-patched leaked version of the game, iirc.

To be fair, I got well-accustomed to his gameplay before I knew about his giant resets courtesy of TYM. I joined this web site a couple months after the game came out. For the first 6 months or so of this game, I pretty much only played Scorpion also... used him at my first tournament. It's not like I intentionally chose a character who turned out to be top tier and have dumbass-but-awesome resets.
