North America actually has a pretty low average for internet speeds. It just some places here get really good services and other get total shit

anyone saying MK9 online isn't horrible, please take a second to play P4A, SC5, or TTT2 online against 4 or 5 random people, then put MK9 back in and do the same thing. you'll never want to play that shit online again.

Oh yea, I remember that as well. Better than SF4 lol.
If I had to choose, I would choose a good netcode over some offline content any day.
I mean SSF4 doesn't have much to offer offline, but it has a huge roster now, is kinda deep and has a pretty good netcode. Sounds like fanboy alert, but SSF4 is still my favorite 2D Fighting Game, just because the overall multiplayer experience is great.

And this will help the game much more in terms of longevity, instead of a story mode that you can finish in like 2 hours or something if you want.

My top 3 netcodes are:

1. Tekken Tag Tournament 2
2. Soul Calibur 5
3. SSF4 AE


MK 9 wasn't unplayable for me, but it is at the bottom together with the vanilla MvC 3 netcode (I feel like UMvC 3 improved it a little bit).

Man thats not good at all, especially from this guy who plays online alot on youtube so i would take it more than a grain of salt if he said it

How hard is it for NRS to ask another FG company for advice, where living in a world where Internet is King, and NRS better not go do a COD and blame the peoples internet, i know that can be a factor but if majority is complaining its NRS's Fault

now im thinking its "Our Online is shit, we dont know how to fix it, lets put a shit load of single player content to keep people away from online"

I'm just pissed off because NRS has been making online games since 2004, and Injustice comes out in 2013, that's 9 years of shitty online. If they don't fix this problem, something they said they would fix in MK9!!! Then they deserve to lose a lot of money.

If it makes you feel any better, KOF13 has just as bad of netcode as MK9, and that game came out AFTER MK9.

If you want to get technical, MK9 was a total step up from the old games, because the game still remained the same in terms of technicalities when transitioning from offline to online, whereas entire move properties altered in any of the previous online MKs. They've been improving, but it's been slowly, but they've definitely been stepping up.

I like to think of it this way. Mortal Kombat was beyond unplayable online, Mortal Kombat probably has the worst online netcode of any fighting game I've ever played, simply put, Mortal Kombat online is garbage. Supposing the netcode for Injustice is still bad, it cannot be worse than Mortal Kombat after they had 2 more years to work on it. I believe it is impossible to replicate the mess that was MK online, so going by that theory, this games netcode should be better than MK.

I don't know how I made it through MKA LOL. You think rollback teleporting today was something? Good fucking lord, imagine your moves magically hitting opponents a full screen away from you, or EVERY SINGLE RECOVERY FRAME BEING CUT OUT OF THE ENTIRE ATTACK ANIMATION, or cameras going absolutely bonkers every 2 seconds.

Or, doing one move and having it totally be something else on the opponent's screen. ViciousShogun remember Li Mei safe flying punches that I wasn't even doing??? XDDDDDDD

The two main gripes among fans with MK9 were training mode and net code.

They delivered giving us probably the best training mode in fighting games, like ever. I wouldn't be surprised if the netcode has improved immensely.

its about playing a game you enjoy with others who enjoy it2 and you only get better by losing.
