Injustice Cancel Terminology

I figured I'd make a new thread for this here. So, there are 4 types of 'bounce'-related cancels in Injustice:

1) Regular Ground/Wall Bounce (f3/b3) cancelled by a dash
2) Armored Ground/Wall Bounce cancelled by a dash
3) Normal/string 2-bar cancelled into a wall/gound bounce (called a 'Bounce Cancel' in the menu)
4) Normal/string 2-bar cancelled into a wall/gound bounce, and then cancelled by a dash

Presumably we don't want to spell all of these out each time; so what should the acronym be for each? MBDC has apparently been pegged for #4

ABDC - Armored Bounce Dash Cancel
MBC - meter burn bounce cancel (this option is only for combos and is irrelevant to the FADC-like mechanic)
MBDC - Meter burn Bounce Dash Cancel

These make sense. For MBC you can also specific which one by saying FMBC or BMBC for forward or backward Meter Burn Bounce Cancels. They sound like rejected TV stations but I actually like it.

I'll think about this a bit more. But I don't have anything against these. Unless someone has a better idea.

Tom Brady Number 1) is meterless.

Number 3) doesn't involve a dash cancel.

I'm all for keeping things simple; but that part seems ambiguous.

I agree with keeping it simple. Maybe something like this?
1. b3/f3 DC
2. MBDC
3. MB b3/f3
4. MBDC (or for example 112~MBDC)

Except dash cancelling out of a b3/f3 involves no meter whatsoever... So there is no meter being burnt.....

1. its just a dash cancel, no "term"needed.
2. MBDC
3. Its a bounce cancel, no need to make up a new term or even discuss it
4. MBDC

We don't. People are merely suggesting different possibilities of what we could use. This is just a discussion thread about which acronyms/abbreviations/terms we like the best.


When everyone seems to be happy with a set of things we can agree on, I or CrimsonShadow will make a new thread outlining the terms everyone's settled on, and do our best to publicize them so everyone writes using that terminology for ease-of-reading and writing for the rest of Injustice's life.

The Bounce move is first, immediately followed by meter burn (automatically in the case of the mid-string version), and then a dash cancel.
