Lex Luthor on Very Hard (also, Skipping Ahead in Arcade)

I don't know about anyone else, but Lex was the last person I had to beat before Doomsday, and I couldn't defeat him for the life of me. I didn't think his trait was that good, but he seems to always have that fucking shield up and punishes anything I try to do. If he's not punishing me, he's calling down unblockable setups. I don't even know what to do.

The weird thing is, I was somehow able to skip him after being defeated around 20 or so times. I have no idea what happened. I was button mashing through his long-ass win pose, and it went to the arcade ladder and bumped me up to Doomsday.

He is pretty tough yea.
I was playing as Lex earlier today and finished the demo on very hard and I was also facing Lex right before Doomsday.
I couldn't jump against him and he pretty much raped me in the corner. But it was very effective when I used the laser beam from a long distance. First some missles to lock him down and after that I spammed the laser. That was pretty effective.

When he was close, low jabs and back+3 with meter burn helped me a lot to get a combo on him.

Lex is easiest for me. Maybe because I play batman or something, I dunno.

Try and remember that batarangs eat through his trait. Don't stay mid screen or he will suck you in.

just mash 11 on hit while armor is up, and don't jump

as batman, always counter his ram attack with full combo and use the bats to shut down his zoning

Anyone else experienced skipping ahead in Arcade without beating your opponent?

Block. Let him do something unsafe when he has armor.

I don't play Batman so I don't know how advantageous he is off knockdowns but block his charge thing on knockdowns.
