Anyone not buying Injustice after the Demo?

Kinda disappointed in the demo, but I'm still going to get the game. MK9 was my first fighting game that I actually played alot of, and it's just so different to that that I'm disappointed. This isn't saying that the game is bad, it's just I was expecting something different. Who knows, may grow on me.

the purpose of playing a demo to decide whether or not you like the game before you go and buy it, not "Oh I did not like the demo but I should buy it anyway because it will be different by the time it actually comes out"

This is true. Not many care how it'll be when it comes out. If it's bad now, why bother?

Let me start off with this; I fully intend on buying the game and giving it my all to learn and become competitive in this game.

However, and I'll admit this because Mortal Kombat is the only fighting game I've ever focused on, I was lost and confused without my block button and dash cancels, lol. My first impressions were this, in this order: "Wow, this is a lot of fun....","Wow, this is very different than MK9's controls...","WOW I'm going to suck at this game....","Wow...I'm starting to get the controls and I'm landing some combos...", "Wow...I'm going to rock with Catwoman!!"

So, for me anyway, I had to just dive deep into the unfamiliar waters known as Injustice, and although at first I was pitying myself, I now know I just have to learn and study this game before judging how I'll do. With that said, I can remember thinking to myself when MK9 was first released, "I'll never be able to land those 45% + combos...EVER!!!"...now I can do 50%+ while drunk and in a coma.

Just gotta give it time...and give YOURSELF time to adapt. It's just the demo...

nobody said to buy it. renting is always an option, but thanks for putting words in our mouth.

These types of threads are really, really silly because you're just drawing out people to insult you for your opinion, even if you don't intend to, especially when you don't explain entirely why you feel a certain way (like why you feel mechanics are rushed). Just make an "overall impressions" thread, and be done.

And another thing, name me one FG demo that allowed you to play practice mode.

I remember that Jade standard 39% bnb. Was extraterestrial at first.

i dunno man, im warming up to marvel much faster than injustice....probably because my fundamentals don't transfer well at all in this game -.-

I think when it comes to fighting game demos, things can and will change. All the time.

If you still want to give this game a chance, then I suggest renting it. You may like the changes, and if you don't then at least you tried.

I haven't even played the demo, but I'm still renting it because not only am I a fan of DC, but because I want to experience the full game.

You don't even have to rent it, if you don't like the game you don't like the game. But please don't expect it to be MK9+, because then people perpetuate this idea that it's not what the previous game is... Which it isn't.

And no, I'm making a point that I disagree and why, which you know, is what people do when the answer is no to a question. He said the mechanics were rushed(without saying why or how), and I disagreed. If you want to take that as being a smart ass, go ahead. :)

if someone doesn't want to buy the game they shouldn't create a topic to try and convince other people not to buy it....especially in the case of a game like this

i enjoy fighting games but i can understand that some people just can't handle playing them

I'm actually looking forward to this game alot and it looks like you and I might be using the same main, pending on how viable he is for me.

and how are they basing opinions when THEY ONLY PLAYED 3 characters - who let's be honest weren't the best ones we had seen even before the demo!! :coffee:
And one of those threads was about the UNBASED complaints actually :)
