Anyone not buying Injustice after the Demo?

This is a legitimate thread, and even though i havent played it, the demo has made me less interested in the game then i was before, so i know where the guys coming from!

c_brandon out of curiosity do you play any other fighters or just MK9?
MK games, DOA games, I own pretty much all the major ones and play them with different degrees of interest.

Thanks for the comments, I too feel its a legit topic I didn't expect to have everyone jump all over me like this and I've yet to see an valid points rebutting my statements rather than 'get used to it'... Get used to what, the game not being fun?

"Get used to what, the game not being fun?"
That's subjective and I think the reason for you not enjoying it is one of two reasons;
1.) It's a control scheme you don't like/understand and therefore can't adapt to.
2.) You, quite simply, suck at it.

Your reasons for why it's not are self-contradicting. How does a game focus on a hardcore audience and yet feel rushed? I think that you just aren't familiar with the mechanics and because you're not familiar with it, it's not fun/it's bad.

A game that takes time to learn and gets you more involved in itself is a much better experience than one you just pick up and play. It's why I will always be more fond of a shooter like Killzone than Call of Duty. (Not a fighting game example but I think the point still rings true.)

You inspire no fear.
c_brandon - Don't worry about them. Remember, this is the internet, where if someone disagrees with your opinion, it means you're wrong and they're right.

To answer your question... Nope, the demo didn't turn me off, although I don't really want to play the demo that much tbh. I'll only be using one character so I don't want to bother learning combos for the three demo characters.

Seems like the trend at the moment to hate on people who dont play/like the same fighting game as you, let it be.

The game looked better in trailers than it does from the demo, im not saying that its going to be a bad game because this is an old build, and the game hasnt been released yet, so what the fuck do i know (or anyone for that matter?) but from WHAT I HAVE SEEN i can't say it looks to thrilling.

DOOMSDAY-15RUS-

i'LL DESTROY YOU ALL
just wait the full game and see how it's will be , at least u can spend some money to play start labs and story mode it's will be better spend some money for it than for a useless blackops2 for example

It looked better in trailers because competent people were playing it.

not sure if i should like or not, because I don't know who it's directed at.
It's directed at anyone who plays the demo and says "game is shit" or "I thought this game would have good mechanics but it doesnt."

I don't care what game it is... you can't criticize the whole game due to the demo... at all. Unless you're criticizing the artwork or something.

I gotta admit I sort of agree-ish with the OP. I at least see what he means.

Some of you might have read my posts elsewhere, but when I first played the demo I became fairly sure of two things, this game would be difficult for casuals and I was going to suck at it.

The issue is that there is really no button-mashness to it, which is usually a good thing, except that I literally had to look up most of my combos and it sort of seems a bit counter-intuitive.. To just pick it up and start playing makes it feel clunky and slow, when the reality is that it is anything but.

I played it a second time some more, after having looked & learned some stuff in the game and on this forum, and it's like fun-mode was unlocked! The game is amazingly good fun, but only if you put in some effort and do some learning, thus for casuals/pick-up-and-play it doesn't feel great, and I'm worried the demo has put people off....

Only if they were expecting "MK with DC characters". You take the game as it's own game, not "it doesn't play like I expected so it's not good or fun".
Capcom guys didn't hop on MK, although it was a new game with different mechanics. They said it's trash, not fun etc. Do you blame them as well? Thousands?

The combo system is exactly to the tee like MK9 in terms of strings.

EGGXI demo man. I don't know why you expect it to teach you everything when that's what the full game is going to do with practice mode and the likes.

also you can tag combos so they show up on your screen, so it's not that bad.

No, I'm talking specifically to the MK guys that expected MK with DC, which is exactly what I said "Only if they were expecting". If people are going from MK to Injustice and instantly think "this game isn't fun/good" then whatever, but if it's for "it doesn't play like the game I play" then they can just stick to MK.

People are complaining about not being able to get in and dash cancel attacks like you could in MK, if this is what turns you off to the game then that's what I'm talking about. If you're willing to play the game as "Injustice" and not expecting "MK" and don't like it then OK but that's not what a lot of the "MK" people are doing.

No it's not. In MK you can dash cancel, here you have to stay in place and use advancing strings to continue your juggle.

You understand it's a demo and it doesn't di shit, but next door scumbag Steve sees he sucks at the demo for 5 mins, gets salty and says demo is shit, game will be shit, money spent on booz is better.

RYX oh I agree with you, I don't expect it to teach you jack, and it makes learning easy with the features you mentioned, I'm sure Star labs will take care of a lot.

I'm just saying that a lot of casuals put the game in and play versus with their friend next to them and diving straight in is the difficult part, that's when it feels slow and heavy. MK you could sort of get away with button mashing and playing by feel, I just think here it is less so. Also as a demo it could really do with at least telling you how to activate clash/stage transistion/objects, sure there are hints but casuals who want to see what the game is like to decide whether or not they'll buy won't be getting the full experience

But on a more pro/learned level this game is intense as hell and I'm loving trying to beat Very Hard Doomsday with every character.
