I've read some inadequately confirmed reports of the age of the demo being seven months old.
This decision would be illogical on the part of both NRS and WB, as the players trying the game for the first time are not experiencing the optimal, most enjoyable version of the game.
Does anyone have any primary evidence as to what the age of this demo is?

EDITED: To better elaborate the purpose of the thread-
From the perspective of NRS, mayne-
why would they not want us to taste an experience of their finished product?
Isn't their goal to entice interest from those who otherwise may not have purchased the game?
Isn't that what a demo is?
Wouldn't the near-finished version of the game be the version that does this job best?

A prop on the stage of life.
They did the same thing for mk9, and I was none the wiser. Sure, they took out block infinites and 1,1 hellfire and such, but I still enjoyed the demo and got a good feel for what the rest of mk9 was going to feel like. The foundation of the game is the same, albeit with changes like that lex infinite not being in the finished product.

People, People.
I love that we get a demo- and I'll be buying the game regardless of how the demo is...
but why would we be receiving such a version as a demo? I'm not complaining about character count, or lack of stages, or intending on being a bitch, but merely asking for truth with proof.

I think the demo is good. Everyone is just freaking out because they have to learn a new system. I think its good that NRS gave us this demo to catch up with the other FGC's and get used to back to block, the dashing (which is just like every other fighting game where you can't cancel dashes), and hit confirms. Everyone needs to take time and actually practice instead of calling something "Horrible" or bad. Maybe its just the skill of the person playing because, I just watched @ChrisG go HAM and everything looked fine to me and he was't complaining.

I believe 7 months old. But for real holy shit I get to play injustice before its out. Im going to body everyone online when it comes out.
asking for the "Optimal experience" from a free sample is pretty selfish.
making games is hard. if you have questions on why this happens in gaming; there are books and websites that can educate on the development process and how fast paced it is.
like footage in a trailer not appearing in the movie

I thought it was kinda ridiculous that doomsday is easily broken as **** and nobody at nrs noticed. Well that explains that

Except in all other FGs the dashes are short (e.g. SF33S) or if long you can cancel them into anything (e.g. VS Series).

I know is to early to tell, but personally I think shorter foward dashes in INJ would be better.

Sooo, Its day 1 of a DEMO of a NEW GAME. Lets focus on how to use what we do have as opposed to complaining about what we don't have, which is a new ambitious game :)

what you think it is is the illusion. every company does it, not just entertainment industry. its marketing.
it takes a long ass time to make a game and i takes a long ass time to make the demo on the side downloadable ready on both platforms on time. so a build was taken from the game during dev, made up to be a demo, then submitted to middle men and who ever is putting out the demo. during that time they probably didn't have time, money, or access to constantly update a demo thats going to be completely irreverent in like 12 days

Good point, unless they specify we will never know why the chose this version. Im sure getting a demo of a game up on XBL isn't a fast process so maybe this is all they were able to provide at the time in order for there to even have a demo available prior to launch.

Always something to pick apart.
You'd benefit from a greater amount of "picking apart" of the purpose of the thread:

Amazing. A civiled, rational thought. Well said.

I'm glad we get anything at all.
As am I:
But I'm not glad that you've misconstrued my purpose here: perhaps because of my harsh wording- so I must elaborate by replying to you with an edit I added:

wouldnt that be an unfair advantage for the ppl maining Batman, Lex or WW?

Thats the competitive player's perspective but i understand ur point.
Well, it's already an unfair advantage for the Wonder Woman, Batman, and Lex Luthor players anyway.
It might as well be an accurate unfair advantage, that guarantees that players will not have to worry about the thought of having to trash what they've built up in the demo, and I've been thinking under the notion that the demo isn't really for us: that the demo is for the casual masses.
If the finished version is better, that will appeal more to those casual masses- and giving them a taste of the most recent version raises the likelihood of them liking the game-
but, I've been informed that the process of putting something up for download takes far longer than I could have imagined.
This explains things.
Kind of.

we'll see. im not taking the demo seriously as far as learning from it. ill worry about that when the real game releases.
