YO! Check out what I just found! Remember me griping about the special mvc3 fightpad with the stick being so close but so far? Well HORI made a new version of it that FIXES things!

10 ft cord, extended handle for sturdier grip allowing for overhand play of buttons allowing for stick style button usage, DPAD OF GOOD QUALITY, and HORI parts.

I was digging trying to find a cheap way to play PS3 decently with Treadmill since my stick is 360 and converters cause lag. Since the PS3 pad isn't something I like, but fightpads are I'm probably gonna snatch this thing up if I find one cheaper than a ps3 stick of decent quality.

Gonna be a weird game for me. I play 360 and stick only but locals with Treadmill will be PS3 so I'm probably gonna be floating between both controllers.

EDIT: *checks last page after being gone from thread so long*

aaaaaaaaaaaand beaten by C-Sword lol.
I had one of these recently when I bought Persona 4 Arena. It was great at first, but eventually broke after 4 months. The right button on the dpad would randomly activate even if I wasn't pressing it, and the dpad would rotate during a match even if the dial was locked.

Welp...at this rate time to look for cheapo sticks.

I'm debating it.

I want to use stick because then I wont have to deal with any controller issues at Evo or other events.

Believe it or not, I'm surprised I got 9th at Evo with that converter. It was laggy...

Playing on a pad shouldn't be that big of a deal if you are a pad player. 4 main buttons for the face to hit l,m,h,p, the right bumper and trigger for meter burn and stage interaction. Throw is a macro that you can hit 1&2 with your thumb or assign it to the left bumper/trigger.

Yeah, I was gonna tell you on Injustice Society but I fell asleep lol. I mean, It worked really well for those 4 months, but its a risk. I think its discontinued, so if it breaks I doubt you could buy a new one.

Don't even look at the reviews. The only thing that people complain about is the Pad's problem with Diagonal Inputs.

Which is irrelevant, because you'll just use the MK Style Directional Inputs.

It's also the cheapest option at only $20.
The issue I have with these is blocking. Its true that using MK inputs will make things easier, but switching from high to low blocking was unreliable for me. I still use it for P4A, but I get hit often with low attacks because the controller thinks that I'm holding down when I'm trying to hold Down+Back. It can get pretty annoying at times.

Yeah, like I said though. The Pad is terrible with only Diagonal Inputs.

With P4A, it's your standard Arcade style. Blocking is Diagonal-Down+Back.

But in Injustice, to block it's just Down and Back at the same time. There's a difference.

That's why I only recommend this Pad for Injustice.

I know this, as always, is a matter of preference. But, for those of you who've had a chance to try the demo, are there alot of QCF / DP movements or are there no diagonals like MK? How does teh dashing feel?

In short, which kind of tampon do you vaginas prefer? Pad or Stick?

I tried WW, and I could not do the back-forward motion for her tiara throw on 360's gimped d-pad. I'll be busting out my Hitbox as soon as I finish my coffee.

I saw someone post that the button layout is better suited for pad, though. Apparently the meter button is way off in left field on stick, and I guess you can't reassign the controls in the demo.

I played on both a TE stick and 360 pad and honestly pad play is easier because the default stick setup on stick is as follows.

L M THROW STANCE
H G STAGE METER
While not bad for regular stuff it forces your meter button to be used by your pinky so you have to use pinky+ other fingers for EX stuff and thats needed for combos pretty badly. I don't like using my pinky for vital stuff...especially if I have to hit another button at the same time. Due to this I think pad play is more comfortable and a fight pad may be needed for this game for me.

My stick layout though will likely be changed to this for easier meter burn combos later in the release though...
L M H THROW
GIMMICK METER STAGE (macro for special LT/RT)

No diagonals like MK. I started off with stick well see what happens, since you cant dash cancel you aren't double tapping directions the entire match. EX moves are the same as MK, block button (or what used to be the block button) + attack, so for hitbox users and people that used stick for mk thats the same.
