Unofficial Battle Arena Final: Deathstroke vs. Ares

Ah, time has flown by since I’ve started this little side project, hasn’t it? What’s that you say? It hasn’t? It’s been the temporal equivalent of crawling through a ditch filled with broken glass? Well I can’t say you’re wrong, but hey at least we get a demo soon right?! RIGHT?!

Aright let’s get down to it: Welcome to the Unofficial Battle Arena Finals! As always and forever I am your host: EGGXI! Now with all that out of the way, I’ll admit it, I was surprised by the results of our last match-up, maybe that pink coloured text really did skew the odds a bit! That’s right, ARES was victorious over the original cape-killer himself, DOOMSDAY. So, that makes today’s match-up:

Now I would say I could guess where this one is going, but I have been wrong before! I think this has the potential to be quite an interesting match-up. Seeing as the powers of these two fine gents aren’t exactly as commonly well-known as Superman’s various powers or Batman’s inability to lose at things, these links should help you decide: Ares/Deathstroke.

Vote by whatever criteria you so choose, but I think most the forum generally go by who they think would win. Argue your case if you feel it helps, argue about various inconsistencies in the comics about their powers if it helps (hint: it never does).

And remember, the winner of this round goes on to fight the Champion of the so-called “official” battle arena (either Superman or Batman) in a super-special-extra-final round!

I think Ares would win, but don't short sell Deathstroke, he isn't "just human". I mean he is the No. 1 assassin and he manages to operate in a world with obscenely powerful heroes without getting caught. If Batman can allegedly beat Wonder Woman and the Flash via planning then a man who has access to 90% of the human brain's potential should have no problem.

I voted Ares though simply because the control over weapons schtick, I mean Deathstroke would have a hard time being hand-to-hand against a fully armed Ares.

I voted for Ares, but I have to say, Deathstroke winning would be hilarious. Batman will no doubt win the official tournament, so we'd end up having two being that are practically gods in Superman and Ares being knocked out, leading to the final being a fight between two characters that are for all intents and purposes strictly human.

Deathstroke is my favorite DC character. That didn't stop me from voting Ares lol. If he had a magical weapon though I'd give it to Slade.

I'm pretty excited by this, I think if Ares wins he would be a good match if Superman wins Official Battle Arena. If Deathstroke wins it would be a great match if Batman won Official Battle Arena. Still got a few days to vote so the gap could be closed!

Still not as close as the Deathstroke Raven fight though...
