yeah he was. Did you hear him complaining about the results of his match vs LI Joe when the stick messed up on Jwong? he claimed the same thing happened to him and he wanted a run back or something.

looking back at the end of the match, it did. its odd for any player to get hit by 2,1,low hat like 5 times.

But good job getting that far, Fubar.

Yeah I saw it lol. But the stick messed up on the sense that it was just holding block so if that happened to perfect than he would of blocked all that.haha. And anyways other ppl won with that same stick after pl lost against Joe. He was just being salty. Funny how he tried using his pad for that tie breaker haha. But would of been a better overall experience if the players could use the controller or joystick of their liking.

You really hit it right with that. It is total shit to make someone play on a stick or controller that they are not trained to use.

Anyways...way to go Fubar for reppin Austin Texas

Sorry for being late to find the thread, but congrats to Dave and Matt for taking 1st and 2nd last week @ Guts Galore in Killeen. No surprise though, since they play against Fubar, who made top 8 @ PDP, on the same day.

Good stuff at comicpalooza fubar!! I was the guy who put you in losers. Those matches were intense! I was sweating like a dog!!! Lol. I might hit up arcade UFO next week so we can get some more matches in. Which day is best to go? Thursdays ? Fridays?

Thursday June 2 @ 8pm. Gameworx will be hosting a mini tournament for MK9 (XBOX platform). This will be a winner take all tourney. Highest out of town entrant will receive a prize. Tourney Fee is $10 and venue is $5 (fight night rate). If you need a ride please plan accordingly or post something. Registration will start @ 7. Be prepared for EVO and Texas Comic Con. If you are going to be late (highly discouraged) call Gameworx. Don't run your mouth like your the best, SHOW IT!!!

Haha, thanks man, great stuff with Sub. I play Sub on the side as well, so I was trying to decide whether to mirror match you or go with Raiden after you beat my KL. In the end I decided that Raiden was a better pick, because I think he counters Sub pretty well, but you were really on point.

Friday night is the best time to go overall for all games, but our MK scene is still in its infancy so if you just want to session during a time I'll definitely be at the arcade, I work on Thursday from open to 8pm and can play all day. I do usually make it there Friday nights just to play games for a couple of hours, but I think I'm heading to Dallas on Friday this weekend so I can hit up the Bar Fights event on Saturday.

Also, to King Phantom, you might want to start spell checking your banners . . . appreciate the heads up, but I can't make this one.

I see. At first I thought you were gonna pick raiden so I picked my kabal since I think he's a better match up but when you picked Kung i knew it was not gonna end well. Lol.
Well my brother plays both raiden and kung Lao pretty well so I knew how to take on the fight. Not to mention watching some of pdp videos helped me out. Hahaha.
Okay cool. Well then maybe next well probably will go up there Thursday and Friday to get some matches in. Always wanted to check out arcade UFO overall.

Edit: I think I will go to UFO on Thursday at 3pm. Till like 7pm. From there ima go to the tourney. So we can definitely get some matches in. Hopefully it will better prepare me for the tourney. See you there guys!

oh i wish i could move to austin right now. i'm trying but i've got no money and no job. i'd like to find a job in austin but the problem is getting there. i'm a state away and i don't know anyone there. i'm trying to start a career in QA so austin is the nearest place for me to tackle that at. also ever since i discovered the arcadeufo stream i've just been dying to play offline FGs and be able to learn something instead of constantly having to beat down scrubs in laggy online matches that i don't learn anything from.

I'm actually not 100% sure on going anymore, wayyyy behind on a bunch of stuff and might have to play catch-up instead.

I'll let you know though ASAP if I can make it.

Hey guys. The Southwest Championship will be this Saturday and Sunday. Saturday will be Super Street Fighter 4 AE (Guaranteed $500 pot), Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (Guaranteed $500 pot) and Mortal Kombat. Sunday will be Halo Reach 4 vs 4 and Super Smash Bros Brawl. Registration opens at 10 am. The venue is closing at 6pm, so we must start at 12:30pm sharp. Thread and flyer are coming shortly,

But THIS TUESDAY, Oct. 11, Arcade UFO will be restarting ranbats!!

We'll be starting this Tuesday with SSF4:AE and MORTAL KOMBAT.

I certainly hope this kicks some life into the Austin MK scene. All you guys practicing in the dungeon, COME OUT and show everyone what you've got!

Finals or Top 4 of MK will be streamed.

i just moved to austin this week! i spent all day tuesday driving from louisiana. all day wednesday at GDC, and today i just need to rest after the most stressful week of my life. i will definitely be there this weekend!

this was supposed to be a major but is now flying under the radar! you guys should try to make it. Im in talks with the Houston guys right now about making it. Would be a great oppurtunity for us to level up with Final Round right around the corner.
