Question Hidden Fighters in Tag Ladder?

Yeah sorry if this has already been answered/is a stupid question but I looked everywhere online and found nothing.

Can Hidden Fighters be activated in Tag Ladder or does it only work in normal ladder?

I'm gonna guess no considering how ridiculously easy it would otherwise be. Hell I didn't even unlock the Jade one until last year when I realized how free the AI is to Scorpion's vortex setup xD
