Personally I'm happy Hawkman will never be in, I think he is so exceptionally dull.

Hawkman is only interesting under very good writers. Things like Robinsons JSA or Ostranders Hawkworld capture Hawkman/Girl perfectly. Things like Liefelds Savage Hawkman remind me why I don't like him.
