lol i can't believe i'm agreeing with fchamp on this, but he's completely right. mk players suck dick at other fighters, and that's literally the only reason why mk players play mk. the overall personal skill level required to be "good" at mk is ridiculously low compared to AE and Marvel. the mk metagame has plateau'd at the point where everything literally boils down to 50/50's and cheesy/gimmicky play.

MK isnt any more or less gimmicky then capcom is with their "flashing give me a fucking migraine' supers, which btw i must say the xrays are far cooler, more brutal and injustice's supers blow anything i've ever seen in a capcom game out of the water ftr.

Not to mention the cool storylines and modes nrs at least puts time into unlike lazy capcom...

I have and i must say it's not as deep as mk, i have played mvc3 my friend gets every game on release, we spend hours, days playing sometimes and I'm not even a huge capcom guy or player yet i was beating guys online who knew far more then me by just button mashing, sentinels lol@ that....yeah i know they patched it but still, point is i shouldn't have won any matches yet did somehow.

MK has a learning curve, they dont play them because they suck in them or aren't as good as they are in capcom games. the real reason, has nothing to do with "learning curve" a game can be "easy to play, but hard to master"

And lol@ tekken and doa are boring and have no following?? wow...nah they do, doa has been played professionally i should know i'm close friends with swoozie, one of doa's best players and tekken is known as the best 3d fighter overall so i dont know where you're getting your info from. Im not even a doa or tekken fan and i know this....

I'd wager, if those capcom guys who talk so much shit went up against mk9s best off or online as well as umk3, they'd get beat bad....stop posting false,ignorant nonsense. Legacy even did far better then both sf films combined, that's utterly sad considering mkl is a web series with smaller budget...but hey i can't fault capcom too much, mk is simply better to most having a solid storyline, intriguing characters and actually has a story.

You may not believe it but the casual fans outnumber the hardcore fans, period and the're the one who decide how well a game does not the minority. As far as tournaments, both mk and sf have done well. 3rd year in a row mk was chosen for evo so where have you been?
