ORIGINAL POST

With the assumption of 24 characters via the select screen we have seen, the last two characters are pretty much known if you know where to look. I won't mention names. But its "Case closed" in my mind. That being said. Let's move forward with DLC.
----------

The DC Universe is very deep so I won't go into a multiple choice list. But we did see with MK9 that NRS said if they knew how big the DLC sales would have been, they would have done more. With that in mind, I am going to assume we will see at least 6 DLC characters. So let's start with that. List as many as you realistically desire and why.

Mine: (I will go in depth for a few of them)

-SCARECROW-
For a few reasons. He is that creepy sort of messed up character that NRS is used to dealing with. Many amazing things could be done with his look. But most of all, the hallucinations. Scarecrow presents an opportunity for NRS to do what I have never seen in a fighter. If scarecrow were to have a toxin move/gas he could essentially manipulate the perimeters of the game and actively change. With the other player "Hallucinating", Scarecrow could change, become bigger/scarier, attain new specials/move sets. Hell. The Toxin could even be his character trait. He'd be something I have never seen in a fighter, and VERY interesting. Instant main on those boundaries alone.

----------------------------

-MARTIAN MANHUNTER-
I am very new to the story of MMH. Aside his position as the only character of the big 7 JL not included. I will leave this at, is the potential move set. He could be made into the Shang Tsung of this game, with the ability to phase moves or projectiles. Would be a very well-rounded fighter. Plus I think his fans deserve some sort of blockbuster inclusion.

----------------------------

-BLACK HAND-
Currently reading "Blackest Night". What a beast. Enough Said. There has yet to be a truly darkest of dark character. The "Noob Saibot" so to speak. He'd be great. With the Blackest Night DLC skins. NRS could do something very interesting with the STAR Lab mode, alone. Between Black hand and the cast of BN skins? Interesting, at the very least.

----------------------------

-BLUE BEETLE-
I've seen a lot of demand for this character. I looked into him. Very cool looking and would fit in nicely. Plus he gives me a Lin Kuei vibe, for some reason.

-KILLER MOTH-
An obscure choice. We all know how NRS loves obscure choices. I thought Mothra ruled, so why not Killer Moth?

-CLAYFACE-
Again. Purely for the potentially unique fighting character he could be. A truly new experience compared to the rest of the cast.

Who do you want to see? Why? What would make them a great addition to the Injustice lore or in a fighter? I have also linked this thread to NRS. So chances are, they will see what you have to say. Have your voice heard!

I've Gotta Go With Martian Manhunter, Captain Cold, Swamp Thing, Black Canary, Zatanna, and Powergirl. DLC Characters Don't Need To Really Make Sense Within The Game's Story. Also, Who Ever Cameo's In The Story Cut Scenes May Change My Decisions.

Master
i want MMH, black manta, black canary, swamp thing, animal man, circe if she's not in and a flash villain (captain cold if he's not in, if not then gorilla grodd for moveset potential)

KH_Seraph

ҜømbÄŦ Ħøu&Ŧøπ
Martian Manhunter (He just needs to be in the game, damn).
Gorilla Grodd (Dude could be like Quan Chi except w/ Power moves and grapples)
Prometheus (He's an all around bad ass, I could see his gadget move being switching discs to switch powers/fighting styles)
Lobo (I think he would fit in the Injustice universe well)
Powergirl (She is way too damn hot, plus boobies)
Zatanna (If she isn't already in the game, she needs to be)
Captain Cold (If he isn't already in the game, he needs to be)
BONUS: Punisher (Like Deathstroke, but usage of different weapons like shotguns and grenade plants, commando rolls, and stuff)

Justice

Warrior
Poison Ivy, Power Girl, Lobo, Zatanna and the Wonder Twins as a Noob/Double (Skullgirls) type character :)

Oh! And Myxlpic (sp?)

Master
i think he would make a kick ass stage interaction honestly

im not knocking on the guy but how would his play style be if he were playable?
slow walking speed, long range leaf sword normals and kinda like a command grab where he extends his arm and grabs you. his trait could be planting a seed (you choose where with the d pad) that when pressed again it would teleport swamp thing to the seed or with an input a plant would grow and allow for a combo

ps: hell yeah adding black manta to my list

Tired, But Strong
Off the top of my head, these are the characters I'd personally enjoy to see in that I also believe have somewhat of a shot:

Martian Manhunter: No brainer.
Captain Cold: No brainer.
Black Manta: No brainer.

Black Canary: One of the finest practitioners of martial arts, unique power in the DCU.
Blue Beetle: Be it Jaime Reyes or Ted Kord, I think either are viable choices. Jaime is the one they'd likely pick since he's been pushed in multimedia.
Booster Gold: Would really love to see something cool and interesting done with his trait.)
Power Girl: Not much to say here.
Speedy/Red Arrow/Arsenal: Yeah, I know what you're thinking. But in my honest opinion, from what I've Green Arrow doesn't have enough "trick" arrows: boxing gloves, nets, etc. Gadget/trick types. Just elemental arrows. IMO, there's still a lot of potential in archery left untapped.
Animal Man or Vixen: I think the argument for a powerset like theirs has been made often enough that I don't gotta get into it.
Static: Vocal cult favourite with some nostalgia appeal, I can see a lot of potential with his traits.
Doctor Fate: DC's own Sorceror Supreme boasts an impressive array of power, some mass media recognition, a rad look, and as a legacy character has a few kostumes to play with. Could pretty much do anything with this guy.

There are characters I'd like to see that don't have a chance, though. In my opinion at least:

Atrocitus: Recognizable, but he'd be pushing that rating with all of that blood, I think. They could GLTAS him up, I suppose.
Indigo-1: Not at all recognizable, but damn she has potential for a fighting game character. Access to the entire spectrum for a tremendous moveset [granted, this kind of breaks the rules of needing proximity to a lantern of that colour but shhh, video games] and teleports could make for some real interesting stuff.
Ravager: Rose Wilson. OMG too similar to Slade??? Nah. Deathstroke definitely prefers lead over steel in this game, and Ravager is definitely all about the steel. She could, appropriately, be the exact opposite of Slade: Incredibly agile, rushdown oriented character. I think she has the chance to be a really popular character among the masses if she had more exposure to people outside of comic books... but she has next to none of it. Essentially less than Killer Cold, having only appeared (to my knowledge) in the Teen Titan cartoon's comic tie-in (which technically isn't multimedia) and in one of the animated movies... as the tame parallel daughter of President Wilson. Pretty much no shot.
Larfleeze: You tired of my suggesting Lanterns of different colours yet? Too bad! Larfleeze could be done in a few ways. For example, he could be the "Pokemon Trainer type" character that I've seen a few people suggest hither and thither - 2 or 3 unique movesets based on switching between different orange light constructed identities that Larfleeze has stolen. Problem is, this likely isn't technically feasible. Another way would be making him into a "Mokujin type" of character. Orange light constructs of a random playable character, reforms into a second character when he gets knocked down after losing a life bar. A fun idea, but ultimately a novelty likely deemed unworthy of a slot.

I'll edit in more characters as they come to mind.

EDIT 1: Altered formatting and added Ravager and Static. Kind of want to go into the traits I'd create for a lot of these characters but that's kind of off-topic.

Kombatant
what about icon? or what about john stewart? what about fatality?
John Stewart should of been in the game over Hal. Icon, eh, give me Rocket instead, and I never heard of fatality? Either way Static da gawd is cooler than any other black character in DC so he should be in this game over cyborg. Its suspect how NRS only uses one black character per game!

Vilén

too smart to play MKX
i think he would make a kick ass stage interaction honestly

im not knocking on the guy but how would his play style be if he were playable?
I don't know... not really my job; I'm not making the game. Ask the wiki:

Swamp Thing can inhabit and animate vegetable matter anywhere (including alien plants, even sentient ones) and construct it into a body for himself. As a result, bodily attacks mean little to him. He can easily regrow damaged or severed body parts, and can even transport himself across the globe by leaving his current form, transferring his consciousness to a new form grown from whatever vegetable matter is present in the location he wishes to reach (he even grew himself a form out of John Constantine's meager tobacco supply on one occasion).

Swamp Thing possesses superhuman strength of undefined limits. While Swamp Thing's strength has never been portrayed as prominently as many of his other abilities, he demonstrated sufficient strength to rip large trees out of the ground with ease and trade blows with the likes of Etrigan.
Swamp Thing can control any form of plant life. He can make it move to his will or accelerate its growth. This control even extends to alien life, as he once cured Superman of an infection caused by exposure to a Kryptonian plant that was driving Superman mad and causing his body to burn out its own power.

After the run of Mark Millar, Swamp Thing had also mastered the elements of fire, earth, water and air, the parliaments of each later killed by The Word, implying that he has retained these abilities and has the power once held by the Parliaments. This has yet to be explained.

The new Swamp Thing (a resurrected Alec Holland) has not only been given the full Elemental powers his predecessor once had, but also a White Lantern Power Ring with full control over its power.
For a character trait, you'd probably be dropping seeds with various follow-up commands that turn them into teleport points, grow them into angry plants that could be used to bolster pressure and/or zoning (like vine traps or sporecannons), or grown into like a healing herb or something that would give you life back if you walked over it. NRS would call this something stupid like "The Germinator."

Probably lots of ranged pokes too.
