240 S.T.A.R. Labs Missions? 24 Characters?

I was looking through the leaked achievement list (found here for reference: http://exophase.com/game/injustice-gods-among-us-xbox/achievements/) and I noticed that one of the achievements grants you a reward for completing all of the S.T.A.R. Lab missions with three stars:

Injustice- Gods Among Us Achievements - Xbox 360 - eXophase.com.png

The picture shows "720" which is most likely the number of stars you earn in total. 720 divided by 3 (stars) means that there are 240 missions. If each character has 10 missions each, then does this confirm the roster at 24 characters? Do we know how many missions each character gets?

Thoughts?

Tired, But Strong
Well, as I recall the Challenge Tower itself didn't exactly have even distribution of missions, and there were some that you could select your character for (if I'm misremembering, let me know).

Additionally, there are supposedly 20 missions in the Red Son pack, which isn't divisible by the 3 Red Son costumed characters you get with that pack. Seems odd that they'd suddenly go for an uneven distro if they divided it up this way.

But this could still totally be right on the money.

Unless we're counting Selina's kitty as a character...I'd say this isn't solid confirmation on anything other than 240 lab missions.

I was thrilled that Isis had her little cameo but now I know we get to play as her?! My hype is taking over my body!!!

Yea the challenge tower is the exact same as the Events in SSBB. It's just a bunch of mini-games.

We don't know this. You are making things. 12 is not half. This has been confirmed. There are more than 24 characters. How many goddamned have to say that?

Yeow. Sorry, bro. I'm just reporting something I thought might have been of interest. No one's sure what the final roster will be.

Most of the people who are adamant about the "more than 24 roster" are the ones who haven't gotten their favorite character yet.
I haven't gotten Black Canary, Zatanna, or Vixen yet--nor J'onn J'onzz--but I'm fairly satisfied with the roster. Haha. I could deal with it being 24, but I still really, really want there to be at least a few more. I'm just losing hope somewhat.

There is always a chance it could be more, but with it being this late in the game....I just dont see it as being something that is going to happen.

Why so rude?

Hector said "we have announced ABOUT 12 characters, and we're not even halfway there".

About:
adverb
11.
near in time, number, degree, etc.; approximately: It's about five miles from here.
12.
nearly; almost: Dinner is about ready.
13.
nearby; not far off: He is somewhere about.

Basically, he said ABOUT 12, which means he could have meant 10 or 11 characters, which is about 12. If he meant 12 exactly, why say "about"? 10 or 11 IS about 12, and if it were 24, 10 or 11 wouldn't be halfway there.

Sure, he could have just said about, but really meant 12. Who knows...

My point being, you can't take that statement as a concrete confirmation, so don't act like a jerk. You don't know it's more than 24. And if we are to go off evidence alone, all evidence so far points to 24, with the statements "the select screen is a decoy"(which could mean they are going to use a different design, which they do if you saw the new select screen pics, and does not mean there's more characters), and the quote above which I already addressed how it can be confused to mean something else, being the only things to make people think otherwise.

Well the game comes out in less than a month. And almost everything we have seen thus far looks like it is going to be 24 characters. Except for that quote about being halfway through the roster there no other evidence that says there will be more than 24 characters. I would be pleasantly surprised if I was wrong though

Yeah, I agree guys. I'm fine with 24. Really, it's a good number. I'm so hyped for this game, though, that anything more than that is completely awesome, uber icing on a most delicious superhero cake.

Exactly. Expect 24, be satisfied with that, and anything more is a nice surprise. :)

Much better than some people on here swearing by more than 24, because they are just going to feel disappointed if it ends up just being 24. They'll go from throwing it in people's face as if it's confirmed, to complaining if it ends up being 24, saying they lied to us and 24 not being good enough etc. There's no winning with this kind of attitude.

Exactly!! I would be perfectly satisfied with 24. Plus we have confirmation that there will be DLC so we also have that to look forward too. This game is going to be so awesome but i'm sure all the negative nellies will find something....anything! to complain about.

In all honesty, I wouldn't want more than 28 at launch. More as DLC? Sure. But you run the risk of getting more unbalanced, more glitches, less unique characters, and less character detail and depth, when you get around 30 or more at launch. I'd rather they do 24-26 characters really well, with tons of depth to each, attention to detail, balanced, and even an extra alt. here and there...than to have 30+ characters with lesser detail, potentially unbalanced, and less depth in moves etc. I'm sure that's how must of us feel, but I felt it was worth stating.

24-26 would be perfect imo. Give us even more depth and detail than MK9 had(as great as it was at 28 at launch), and throw in an extra outfit for some of the characters that stand out the most. Then have another 6-8 of the same quality, through DLC. For a total of 30-34 when it's all said and done.

That's my ideal scenario.

Character uniqueness and specific playstyle seem to be a huge factor in this game (which I love btw) and I would hate for that to be spoiled by adding a lot of characters and having repetetive and cloned moves. That just makes the existing characters less unique and less interesting.

Get your guns on. Sheriff is back.
I was excited to hear that one mission has Two Face flipping his coin and yelling heads or tails. If he yells out your side of the coin he shoots your ass during your mission fight and interrupts you and vice versa.

S.T.A.R missions sound awesome.
