For whatever reason I ended up maining females, Ammy/Morrigan/Phoenix in Marvel, Juri/Ibuki in is SF, Tifa SCV, ect so I plan on trying out Raven if she doesn't work Catwoman is next in line but I don't tier whore on purpose so it'll most likely be Raven

Same as MK. I will play the characters I like the most, regardless of tier. It's not my fault Kabal and Sonya happened to be top tier in MK.... *shrug*

Well, I'd take it slower than trying out the whole cast right away. When I was doing MK9 ladder for all chars I went on training, learned everyone's BnB, then did JIP > BnB all of the way lol. But I was only playing Sub , Mileena and Raiden as "mains".

I mean, your pre-release main. Will you make the quick switch? You'd still be considered a day 1 main if you switch on the same day, right?

I got my eyes on Deathstroke right now 'cause he's looking like a bad ass but if I gotta go play Flash, Cyborg or ugly ass Raven then I'll do it.

Reptile didn't have the prettiest face in MK9 anyways.

I don't really give a shit if I'm a Day 1 Main of any character.. I'm not looking for any props or anything.

But yeah.. Day 1 starts on Release Day Technically.

In MK, I wasn't a Day 1 Sektor because I didn't start playing kompetitively until September, 5 months after the game released.

The first day isn't really realistic to determine if a main works out or not in my opinion.

I'm gonna try everyone I'm interested in to play. I mean, I know who I want to main (Raven), but I'm still going to try everyone and see who fits me best.


I didn't originally co-main Jade, I co-mained Sheeva. Then I realized Jade is really similar to Stryker and is also a counterzoner so I stuck with her. That wasn't immediately after release though it was several months after.

Normally I can't help but switch characters often due to my lack of an attention span, but this time will be different. Probably. I will main Sinestro and dabble in the other villains.

I know I run around here as Green Arrow and such, but I'm such a DC fan that the whole roster has me giddy.

I'm really interested in GA of course, but the whole roster will be something I can enjoy.
Dude's I hope to enjoy the most are all candidates for my competitive main.My list is so long it hurts.

Those are all the dudes I am seriously hoping to tear into and dabble with until I find someone who fits my flow the best. In MVC3 I was Ryu, Sentinel, Chun Li, MODOK, Haggar, Arthur, Rocket Raccoon and a TON of Iron Fist. My day 1 team was Wolverine/Taskmaster/Sentinel though with me planning on rocking Wolverine. After two games my final team was Taskmaster/Iron Fist/Arthur with a MODOK/Iron Fist/Arthur backup team.

Day 1 character choices don't determine a whole lot. Its whoever fits your match rhythm the best. I'm planning to rock Green Arrow, but who knows who else might rise up. Hell I played MK9 and went for Smoke...I was surprised to actually find out I also enjoyed Kitana, Kung Lao and Stryker as well. In KoF 13 I started as Chin/Vice/K' and ended up with Andy/K'/EX Kyo.

You just can't tell.

I usually just pick characters who I like, either by their looks or by their story/personality. As of right now, I'm super hyped for Black Adam, Hawkgirl, and Raven; however, I'm not averse to trying out other characters.

I consider myself a pretty adaptable player, and apart from charge characters and HEAVY zoners, I'm pretty comfortable with any playstyle. That being said, I'm prepared to end up with someone unexpected. With MK9, I planned to main Smoke/Subby, and wound up with Mileena/Cage. I can still play Sub/Smoke and they're my favorites, but the characters that click with me the most (and who I do best with) just turned out to be characters I never expected. I'm sure something similar will happen in Injustice. Which is fine by me.
