How do you all feel about in-game community events hosted by TYM

Interest check -- Creating this thread to gather opinions, ideas and feedback on something special.

Would the community be interested and be willing to participate in special themed events for Injustice: Gods Among Us when it releases on April 16, 2013?

These events will take place on a certain day online, with a specific theme, topic or any other idea that is feasible. The event would engage the community to come and participate.

The events can include various modes (depending on what else is available beside Versus), team battles, exhibitions, live streams, match analysis, or just casuals where everyone gathers and plays on one day or several days of the week, covering content from casual to advanced play.

The goal would be to engage and enhance the Injustice: Gods Among Us experience and community. While providing a avenue where players can expand their knowledge on the game, have fun, meet new members, learn tips, and overall provide content that would make Injustice: Gods Among Us fans better in all aspects the game.

Suggest some ideas that you would like to see or participate in.​

I love this idea. Back with Marvel folks would suggest rules that turned the game into street fighter and such so this has a lot of fun potential once we know what sort of modes and game options we can mess with. Things like minimum damage gets interesting matches, and picking your character via randomizer is fun too. Of course we can likely setup match rules regarding hazards and such as well for this game so thats an option too.

For now since I don't know the full list of tweakable match options I'll just suggest the following themes.

• VILLAINS ONLY-villain only tourney
• HEROES ONLY- heroes only tourney
• ARCH RIVALS- pick a tym member as your arch rival and draw your character via randomizer. Your opponent must play one of that character's arch rivals.
• NEXT POST PICKS...- one guy posts in a thread, next guy picks his character, and so on and so forth till the players all have cast.
• JUST ME- no gimmick button allowed during match. Players go into their button config and deactivate it. Let the footsies begin

This is pretty bad, but it's all I could come up with at the drop of a hat. A "character swap" day where we pair up characters based on opposing gameplay styles/skills needed to be proficient with those characters, and challenge players to get out of their comfort zone by playing their "opposite" character in one of several KotH lobbies that we set up (depending on the number of players interested/provided that KotH isn't a lagfest).

I think it might be both fun and beneficial to helping players grow. Maybe.

But yeah it'd be awesome to see what happens in there and who folks would pick with gimmicks disabled. Be fun to see some of the stuff play out.

I likes the new main tourneys. I would do something like that for injustice, and it would be a great way to learn the whole cast after the game drops. New mains every week till people lose interest

-Ladies Night Out:Females only.Alternate title Manface Mondays.
-52:A "first to" based on DC's favorite number.
-KOFcrossDC:Team based fights like in KOF.

Not to this extent, no, I haven't seen anything.

This would take hella forever, but it could be hype.

Every so often, we will have a one character tournament (Nightwing only, for example)where you can only use Nightwing. Whoever wins the tournament will have their name written down. When every character has a tournament like this, we could have a Battle Arena type tournament and have grudge matches, like the "best" Batman go against the "best" Joker, or the "best" Nightwing" go against the "best" DeathStroke.

Winner will be crowned as the "god" among us and the character he/she/it used will be forever known as broken.
