NB Semi Evil Ryu

Former Sub-Zero of the Midwest (2011 - 2015)
Keits has been posting updates on cheap plane tickets to Chicago, lately. He just posted some updated information on ticket prices:

It isn’t going to be much better than this, folk. Flight prices from all over have dropped yet again, include a host of Midwest locations (for those of you who prefer to fly, rather than drive). See the highlights below, or click read more for full details.

Highlights include:

LAX to Chicago for $238
New York to Chicago for $150
Atlanta to Chicago for $198
Fort Lauderdale to Chicago for $198
West Palm Beach to Chicago for $248
Paris to Chicago for $648
Washington to Chicago for $218
Orlando to Chicago for $226
And new midwest origin cities:

Minneapolis to Chicago for $158
Buffalo to Chicago for $184
Nashville to Chicago for $176
Kansas City to Chicago for $184
St. Louis to Chicago for $158

I want to register for this before the discount ends, but I am not 100% sure if I am going, things might come up in the future, if so, I hope I can sell my pass to someone that's 100% going but just haven't bought their pass yet, I don't even have any hotel arrangements or anything, I'd rather not spend a shit load of money on 1 room for myself.

aw this tourny starts friday? That sucks I wont be able to make it.
We don't know that for sure yet. However, Keits just now tweeted that he will be able to announce the game schedule, this week.

My guess is that Injustice may start on Friday but MK 9 might start on Saturday. I'm pretty sure that MK started on Saturday at last year's UFGT.

What's the deadline for registering for this?

I'm waiting on TAx Return.

I'm gonna take IGAU more seriously than I took MK9. So expect me at more majors soon.

Join us from May 24th to 26th of 2013 in Chicago, IL for the most inclusive tournament experience on the planet: Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament 9! While the previous installments were huge successes, we still have changes in store UFGT9, including an all new venue.

New Venue: Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare
Venue Features:
  • 15,300 sq/ft ballroom (up from a total of 6,000 sq/ft last year). This massive space will give you all the room you need to game with your friends, compete in our tournaments, or relax in the fun and games area.
  • Welcome to Chicago. Our venue is only one stop on the CTA Blue Line train from the O’Hare International Airport. Getting to us has never been easier or cheaper. If you are willing to walk a half mile from the CTA station to the hotel, it will only cost you $2.25 to ride the train. Additionally, the Blue Line train leads right into the heart of Chicago proper. If you want to be a tourist for a day or two, you are certain to love our new location.
  • Rooms are available at the special group rate of $79.99/night, only $10 more than in Northbrook. UFGT remains one of the cheapest tournament events you can attend.
  • Parking will be completely free for any guest staying overnight for UFGT9, and will be discounted to $10/day for everyone else attending.
  • The Crowne will offer a cash concession booth where you can get reasonably priced food and drink. No outside food or drink is allowed, but there are plenty of nearby places to eat just a short walk away.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments or tweet @KeitsSRK on twitter. Or, visit our thread on SRK.
Additionally, we have yet to settle on a theme or subtitle for UFGT9. If you have any suggestions, we’d love to hear them.

When will schedule be released? Need the info to plan the trip.

so just signed up on the forums today, and since I'm from Chicago, I'm totally gonna try and make it out to this tournament. Will probably sign up for Injustice, but I' m just pretty stoked to be able to make it out to one. Really looking forward to getting to know you guys here, even if I don't do so well haha. Cheers

If I am reincarnated; I wanna become a clam.
I'll more than likely be at this for Injustice, since I only live 40 minutes away. I'll register sometime before the 4th of May. It'll be my first tourney, so I'll probably get destroyed though.
